TrustpilotGreedy and rude staff, broke the contract
I hope this review is helpful to some, especially young people moving out for the first time. Sorry it’s so long, but that’s how awful Peterborough's Century 21 is. This company have failed me time and time again. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and bite my tongue because I was so excited to just move out of my family home and gain some independence, I saw everything through rose tinted glasses.

I’m purchasing a property through Century 21 in Peterborough and I have to say they are indeed incompetent and rude. The communication is the worst I’ve ever experienced with estate agents. Since my viewing and then subsequent acceptance of offer back on 2/3 Feb I’ve had no communication from them at all. Only when I’ve called have I managed to get some answers to my questions. Really disappointed at being treated this way especially with snarky comments from some of the staff.

Dear Bob, I am slightly confused by your review and to what you actually think we do here at Century 21...?! Firstly, Century 21 DO NOT carry out the renovations/building works on our projects, we are not a construction company, we are an Estate Agency. Nevertheless, we regularly visit our upcoming projects and have about 4/5 in the pipeline at the moment, none of which I can match to your description? If you have information that I'm not aware of, then you're welcome to contact me directly to discuss. In regards to your other points, can you please elaborate on what evidence you have of our HMO's being overcrowded? If I had the time, I'd happily invite you to look around each of the 100+ rooms that we manage in Peterborough, so that you can see for yourself. All of our properties are for single-occupiers only and each Tenant undergoes a thorough referencing check prior to moving-in. Again, if you have information that I'm not aware of, please share with me, however we inspect all of our 'shared' properties on a monthly basis and would be the first to know about such activity. I have also searched your name across our database and we have no record of ever dealing with you, so please remove this review immediately as you've not had any dealings with our office. Wanted to view a property they had for rent, we have a pet and just wanted to know if the owners would allow. Never got an answer, just ignored - RUDE. This then makes you wonder if you did rent from them and needed assistance how quickly they'd react. Even if a call to us had said we cannot get an answer to your question from the owners at least that would of been better than being ignored. Based on this I'd say avoid - Peterborough branch.

We particularly liked that they were not too pushy as some of the larger national/regional chains have a tendency to be. Strongly recommended!
