I attempted to sell my property through the agent I bought it through, 6 years prior. Choosing them as they had knowledge of the house and had the highest sales in the area recently. The property was listed for 6+ months without success before I made the switch to Marco Harris. The MH advert was night and day compared to the previous agents' advert and the house sold within a week! Sold to a 1st time buyer with multiple offers from other buyers refused. I could not recommend Marco Harris enough. Ben, Conor and Coren were excellent to deal with at all times from start to finish. We struggled to sell our property through a high street agency and instructed Marco Harris after they successfully sold 2 other properties on the street. Photos and marketing elements were fantastic and they managed to capture our property very well. We had an offer before our house reached the market which was great. The whole process was stress free and Coren was great at keeping us updated in the chain. They were very helpful in making contact with other parties and helped us with advice when needed. A very modern, forward thinking company who uses great communication techniques for busy individuals such as ourselves! Overall, a lovely experience and highly recommended. Amazing service

I recenty sold my flat and purchased a property through Marco Harris and I would highly recommend them. From start to finish the service was amazing. The marketing by Connor was incredible, I received an offer almost 10% over asking on the first day my property was on the market. We were struggling to find a property to buy and Connor arranged for us to view properties before they officially went on the market, one of which we eneded up buying. The updates we received from Coren were great, towards the end these were on a daily basis so we were kept up to date with the progress. Marco Haris made the whole process completely stress free.

Highly Recommend Marco Harris

This is the second time I have used Marco Harris to find me a new tenant and the second time that they have completely delivered. I cannot recommend Marco Harris highly enough. I use Mark to let and manage all of my properties and he is on another level. His attention to detail is incredible and I find the service second to none. Mark is clearly driven and motivated and will stop at nothing to provide the best service possible. I have also had the pleasure of dealing with other members of the team (Connor, Ben) and they too are exceptionally helpful and professional. When they say they will do something, they do it. At first mark was fantastic and sorted all the paperwork and was really efficient. I was actually really impressed how quickly things were processed and handled. However as soon as I picked up the keys and moved in - Mark completely changed.For instance, if there were any issues with the house, he would become rude and threatening saying things such as “do you think I have time to be dealing with this” and “do you not know how busy I am”? He would often send shouty messages via WhatsApp and then later delete them. Another time when I went to complain about a issue he phoned me and said “I’m just looking at renewing your contract” i said to mark “I would like to know why you wouldn’t when I always pay on time” to which he said “I don’t have to give you any reason if I want you out - then you’re out. It’s not your house - you have no rights and if I want you gone then that’s that”. I was so upset at this as I was at work, so asked him how to file a complaint. Mark then said “no one is higher up than me - you complain to me”.Another time a person moved in and they failed to do adequate checks on the individual and he was clearly dangerous and the police had to get involved. Mark refused to engage or assist with the police as he was “too busy”. After this, he telephoned us (rest of the housemates) and said “he had done everything and told everyone what to do”.In my opinion, Mark is a rude, arrogant man who lies at every opportunity without thinking of the consequences. I have so many other examples of the lies he has told but really what’s the point? The reviews on here are all very complimentary and like I said at the beginning sorting through all the paperwork - it was great, so I really get it. However if you are renting off Marco Harris - I would 100% go somewhere else, as the property management side of things really is awful and sometimes is just downright dangerous.

Letting agents that actually care!

Marco Harris took over the management of our tenancy back in November 2021, anytime we have contacted the team they have been more than helpful, particularly of late when the boiler went and we were without heating and hot water for over 4 days. Georgia, and Mark himself, where incredibly helpful. Especially as our landlord's contractor was away for the weekend and an alternative contractor wasn't authorised. Mark and Georgia went over and above to ensure we were able to access hot showers by arranging day passes to a local gym, even though the delay for repairs was not a fault of theirs. Thank you guys.

AVOID Marco Harris at all costs

AVOID Marco Harris at all costs. We trusted Mark to find us a suitable property for us as a young working couple. We was lied to all throughout the process and was put in a property with damp, waterleaks, mould and legionella bacteria in the water. Before we paid our 9 weeks upfront, Mark was helpful but as soon as we paid, everything turned into our problem. The first incident was a faulty key, in which I messaged Marco Harris that my key was not working and I was told to buy some WD40 and to get the other key cut and it should cost no more than £4. This should have been checked and we should have been provided with a working key as part of the inventory.Next, They knew about damp and waterleaks in the property as we was told by Melissa (their inventory clerk) that the landlord was there in the weeks before trying to sort this out. They did not disclose this to us before we moved in and we only noticed upon checking the room and seeing water leaking through the celing. The inventory clerk also knew about it and only told us the information when we questioned why there was water running down the wall. The whole apartment smelt strongly of damp as this was clearly an ongoing problem that they tried to cover up. We was told this would be fixed, but never was. We asked why they didn’t disclose this or delay the moving in process in which he told us that on move in day we should’ve just not moved in, even though they had nearly £3,000 from us. The day after we moved in, we received a letter through the door stating there was legionella in the water and if you are vulnerable to not shower, bathe or even get a splash of water on your skin. Touching the infected water can cause Legionnaire’s Disease, a severe form of pneumonia. Worried, I called Mark Friday at 7pm and was yelled at for disrupting his Friday night, I told Mark that for health reasons we couldn’t stay at this property and was told that he had stayed in worse places and that I was over reacting and also “acting out of emotion”. I told Mark that we need to move out of this property as soon as possible and needed our money back. Only when Mark realised he had no leg to stand on regarding this uninhabitable property, they decided to agree on giving us our money back. We was told that they would process the refund on Monday and it should be in our accounts by Wednesday latest and we was able to use this time to move out of the property. By Wednesday, no money had been returned and when we spoke to Mark he told us he hadn’t processed the refund, and now he has decided that they need to see if we had trashed the property (which he could have told us but didn’t). Apparently If we had given him the keys on Monday, we would have the money by now (which he never told us to do). We stated to Mark that due to all of the lies that have been told we will only be handing over the keys simultaneously when we get our money back, again, on the phone he started to get aggressive and stated that if we wanted to go the “legal” route that he would not return the money and we can go through court. To our understanding this company was supposed to be “legal”? and legally they allowed us to move into a property not fit. We heard his sob story about how they are loosing money and how they need to get us out as they need to get other tenants in there quickly, Again, they are trying to put innocent tenants into an uninhabitable property for their own financial gain. Never has there been an apology or solution to any of the problems, instead we was just shouted at and basically being told its our problem and they don’t have to help us even stating that they have duty of care to the landlord not us, the tenants. Citizens Advice and the Council have asked us to get the word out about this company and this property at Elmfield to prevent somebody else going through this.

I chose Marco Harris after extensively researching the market for estate agents being that I’m new to the industry and wanted to be certain I was choosing the best company for the job.
