Living abroad, we found it very difficult for us to be on hand for the sale of our property. After using several Estate Agents to sell our house, without any joy, we thankfully came across Nicola Horner of Scottfraser. What a difference. We found Nicola very pleasant, charming, intelligent, smart and very professional. She fully understood our situation and needs. Nothing was too much trouble for her. What she told us she would do, she did. A big change from the other agents we dealt with who did not have a clue. Nicola arranged everything for us very quickly and kept in constant, almost daily communication, which we found very useful, especially when we returned to the Canary Islands. Viewings started almost immediately. She relentlessly kept plugging away, securing several offers, which fell through by buyers changing their minds with odd “excuses”, which did not deter Nicola. We were grateful to Nicola for keeping at it, which resulted in the sale of our property with a buyer who, through Nicola's skills, raised his offer to a level we accepted. House sold. My infinitely better half and I used the Witney branch of Scott Fraser in our search for a rental property in the town. Their lettings manager, Nick Hume, has been the epitome of professionalism, courtesy and just down right pleasantness. In all of our dealings with the company, Nick has ensured our inquiry, regardless of what it might have been, has been dealt with quickly and efficiently. The Oxford branch deals with property maintenance, Chris Carter, their maintenance head honcho, jumps all over any issues we might bring to his attention and I have to say, overall, I could not begin to recommend them highly enough. As a team they are pretty much unbeatable. We have recently purchased a house with Scottfraser. They helped us to buy our previous property, then sold it for us, in order to fund the newer bigger property that we are after this time. I was not much involved in the previous purchase, but at that time our overall experience was good. This time I am heavily involved in every step and I would like to praise them here for their good work. They are effective, extremely helpful at the initial stage of making an offer. Nicola in particular was very sensible and keen to help. After I chose my dream house, Nicola discussed with me the options of selling my current property in a very short time to secure the purchase. I was impressed with how soon they brought the prospective buyers in to start viewings. And they really found serious customers there. We received offers from nearly every viewer. A long story short, we now have moved in and are really happy to have made the decision in the first place to engage with Scottfraser. We do have a plan for the future to change house again and Scottfraser will no doubt be our top choice of estate agent. Nicola and Karen are our contacts in Scottfraser and they have done a good job.

I lived in one of their properties for a year, and Scottfraser sent in people without their legally binding 24hour notice, and then they complained the kitchen counter had a pan on it. They also wanted us to redraft our contract for some reason so we'd have to pay more, but on close inspection of the contract we didn't need to do that. They also charged us a lot of cleaning which we couldn't avoid, even leaving the property in pristine condition. DO NOT RENT FROM SCOTTFRASER.

My wife and I have recently purchased a second buy to let property and both properties are managed by Scott Fraser. The second property was previously privately occupied. SF provided advice and help on the process of preparation for letting and the management of occupation by a tenant all within a tight one month timescale over a Christmas/New Year period.
