Extremely disappointing experience with Scott Fraser. We attended a scheduled viewing only to find that the agent didn’t turn up. We ended up being shown around the property by the current tenant, which is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. When this was raised, the response and apology from Liberty were minimal and lacked any real accountability. Despite this, we remained serious and submitted an offer. We were clearly told by liberty we would be contacted if there was an opportunity to improve it. That contact never came. Instead, we later found out the landlord had accepted another offer without any communication to us, despite expectations being set. The entire process was poorly handled, disorganised, and lacked even the most basic level of professionalism or courtesy. As someone who has previously worked in estate agency, it’s genuinely surprising to see this level of service still happening. Experiences like this only reinforce the negative stereotypes around the industry. Would not recommend.

If there were a sixth star, Liberty would get it. As Americans navigating the UK rental market for the first time, we weren’t entirely sure what to expect, referencing, guarantors, holding deposits, right-to-rent checks… it can feel like learning a new language. Liberty made all of it effortless. From our very first conversation through receiving the keys to Foundry House, she was exceptional. Clear, patient, proactive, and incredibly responsive. She explained every step of the process without ever making us feel like outsiders. What could have been overwhelming instead felt organized, transparent, and calm. Relocating internationally comes with plenty of moving parts, but Liberty anticipated issues before they arose and kept everything on track. Emails were answered promptly. Timelines were clear. Paperwork was smooth. We always knew exactly where we stood. Most importantly, she genuinely cared. We never felt like “just another tenant.” She understood this was more than a transaction, it was our family finding a home. Foundry House is perfect for us, and we are deeply grateful. If you are relocating, new to the UK system, or simply want a letting agent who operates at the highest professional standard, Liberty is the one. Highly, enthusiastically, unequivocally recommended.

I thought there were no good agents in Oxford until Saville recommended me to Richard at Scott Fraser. Mixed reviews on the internet, so I was a little sceptical about them in the beginning but they proved me wrong. Richard head the sales team there with William and Caia. The whole team has been amazing throughout the whole process, from valuation through to final sale. The valuation was realistic and fair. Photography and marketing was delivered with professionalism. The viewings were conducted with professionalism and care. There was never any query / questions too trivial and the whole team was on top of our sale, so you can call up and speak to any member of the team to get an answer. Follow-up is excellent and they will always call back, if they don’t have an answer. They also go above and beyond to sort out any issues, and find solutions that works for both the buyer and seller. We sold our property first week it was listed. We are very happy with Scott Fraser Summertown and highly recommend them if you are planning to sell your property in north Oxford,
