I have rented many properties all around the world, and I have never received the level of service I received from Katherine at Penny & Sinclair. My partner and I asked a few questions at the inspection, thinking the answer would probably be no (removing some furniture from a fully furnished apartment and finding secure bike storage). Not 2 hours later, Katherine had negotiated both of these with the landlord and had given us a comprehensive update via email. We decided the property was not quite right for us, and Katherine was quick to offer alternatives that may suit, which was extremely helpful. We have actually gone with a property in a different area, but if I was to start looking again, Katherine at Penny & Sinclair would be my first choice as the experience was so positive.

The AirBnB I had booked through a private host fell through last minute and I was searching for an alternative and saw a Penny & Sinclair property that met my requirements. They were familiar to me as used them for a previous booking and they were great on that occasion. Thankfully their customer service has remained the same - although it was late afternoon on a Saturday, the Penny & Sinclair rep. Georgia went out of her way to get me into the property as soon as possible. The only delay was due to a thorough cleaning being undertaken - and I was ok with that due to our current reality! My partner, friends and I were looking for a house to move into at very short notice during the lockdown. We were lucky to have Rebecca as our agent who showed us the property on her day off and answered all of our questions. We loved the property and decided to go ahead with the process. Rebecca was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional throughout the whole process. I was particularly impressed at how fast she responded to my emails and how she helped me to complete the process in such a short amount of time. I felt very supported when making an offer to the landlord and throughout the entire process. Penny and Sinclair are much more professional than other agencies I have been in contact with, yet it has also been the most supportive I have felt during a moving process. We have moved in now and are still well supported by our property manager Helen who has been very helpful with handling repairs. The worst agent - Joanna, Lisa, Nicola I emailed Penny & Sinclair more than 30 times during the one-year lease, but the electric blinds were not fixed. 3 rooms's electric blinds are not raised or lowered manually. So I said we would remove them ourselves and install a new one with our own money, but they just kept saying wait. And eventually the lease ended. We couldn't open the windows at three out of four rooms because of the blinds that don't go up. Our children had a hard time without sunlight for a year. And they asked me for ridiculous expenses after the rental period ended.(Cleaning costs and bathroom ceiling paint costs) After emptying all my luggage, I cleaned for a few days and moved, why do you have to clean again? At such a high cost? Even if I ask them to show me a picture of a dirty place, they don't respond. And the bathroom ceiling paint was already damaged when moving in. They didn't take a picture of the damaged part at check-in, But they ask cost without evidence. At such a high cost? This is ridiculous. It's been almost two months since the contract ended, but I still haven't got the deposit back. I'm still having a terrible experience. Please avoid this agent.
