I would avoid on all honesty

I would avoid on all honesty. Told me I had been accepted then days later came back saying they wanted nearly £150 as a holding fee to apply (to see if I would be accepted?) and would not get that back if not if it was my fault.Immediately came to read reviews on the company after that.Sounds like they had another tenant and were just trying to make a few quid. I imagine would have lots of ways on their terms and conditions not to repay that, especially reading these reviews the they do everything not to return deposits etc they aren’t gonna return a holding fee. After reading these reviews would not have sent it anyway. Total waste of time.

Do not trust these sheffield snakes. Pure scammers, here for the landlords and to exploit tenants.

After putting our property with a different agent and having an unsuccessful experience, we selected Harry Sheppard from Knight Frank in Oxford. Not only did Harry come across as very professional and personable, he also worked extremely hard on our behalf, involved us in the process when necessary and achieved an excellent price for us. We really felt that he was acting in our best interests and he is an excellent negotiator. Many thanks Harry!

We rented from northwoods Ipswich Ipswich for…

We rented from northwoods Ipswich for 12 years then they sent us an eviction letter saying they wanted us out because they were moving family in but the truth is they wanted us out because we weren't paying enough rent they just sent painters in to paint the walls and put a new boiler in when we lived there the place was full of mice and damp so dont move into 237 heath Road Ipswich they just want to make more profit by charging £1300 a month phil was the only person who cared the rest waste the rest are a waste of space

My siblings and I chose Knight Frank to sell our elderly father's house in East Hagbourne. They were very trustworthy, helpful, communicative, courteous, personable and professional. Dane Spelina was our main point of contact from start to finish and he worked tirelessly on our behalf and kept us informed throughout. He persevered to the end with cheerfulness and humour even when the selling process became frustrating and difficult. We would highly recommend Knight Frank!

We've recently purchased a property in Summertown, Oxford. From viewing to completion to after-completion care, the team of Ollie, Emily and William worked extremely hard to ensure the process as smooth as possible. I have recommended them to my friends and families already, and will have no doubt to recommend them to anyone who would sell/buy a property in Oxford.

In January, we engaged with William Kirkland and the Team in Summertown office to seek a buyer for our house. They were very professional, attentive and knowledgeable about the local market and quickly found a suitable buyer for our property . William has guided us throughout the process and made a stressful experience much better. Highly recommended.

100% not recommended this company

100% not recommended this company to anyone , Portsmouth branch - ask for all the documents included bank details / payslip which they didn’t confirm to rent the place to me , already to send to them few time and still reply to me they didn’t get it. Just ask for the questions - if the landlord will put the deposit to TDS system , they turn down my application within 5 minutes . Wasting time ! Like many people that have left reviews, be aware of them for the deposit issues.

Absolutely would NOT recommend to…

Absolutely would NOT recommend to anyone. (Falkirk Branch) Poor service. Impolite staff. Scraping the bottom of the barrel to take your deposit, after being forced to leave after only 7 month tenancy due to the poor condition of the property overall, from weeks without heating and cooker/ oven, to damp and mould issues causing illness to name only a few. You have to chase everything as promises to call you back don’t happen, they don’t want to deal with it and can’t get you off the phone quick enough when there’s issues. I could honestly go on and on about all the service failings throughout.Felt forced to accept a ridiculous deposit reduction as I could not deal with the stress they had caused any longer throughout and after the tenancy.Would NEVER trust to rent a property through them again personally.

Throughout a rather long stressful process the personal approach at Knight Frank has been excellent. William Kirkland and his team were always on hand with sound advice and encouragement. The fact that William lives in the area is a definite advantage. Samantha was always very considerate when setting up appointments and the team that showed potential buyers around were informative and helpful. Overall we would highly recommend the company.

Extremely knowledgeable about the market, excellent sales manner and nothing too much trouble.

David Yates and Emma Owen in the Lee's office were simply terrific. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma and David was very knowledgeable about the market and superb at showing the apartment - according to one client he was "the best I have ever come across". Thanks to you both. David and Hilary

William Kirkland and his team provided a first class service in marketing and selling our house in Oxford. William is particularly knowledgeable of the local market and was most diligent in ensuring that all aspects of the transaction proceeded as smoothly and speedily as possible. Prompt and comprehensive feedback after each viewing was particularly appreciated and we would have no hesitation in recommending Knight Frank Oxford.

Somewhat lacking

This letting agent leaves a lot to be desired. Zero support for tenants, acting solely as sales agents in the interests of the landlords, despite their obligation to provide clarity for tenants about what they're signing up to. My nightmare began with the tenancy agreement arriving just one week before I moved in, forcing me to sign a "Deed of Surrender" (I was led to believe it was a 12-month new contract via the existing flatmate who had gotten his information from the agent). When I raised concerns, the agent admitted it was a bad deal to take on responsibility for anything that had gone on with a prior flatmate, but offered no alternatives. Emails in one thread are typically answered by different agents, and phone calls vanish into an off-site messaging black hole. Even after I moved out, getting my deposit back was irregular. After a second email asking when it would be returned, I was told it should've been returned via the new flatmate (a stranger!), who didn't even have my account details. This is not standard practice, it's a recipe for disaster! How are you supposed to enforce getting your deposit back from a new tenant if they dispute they already sent it? If you pay your deposit into a Govt. Protection Scheme via an agent, it should be returned that way. Instead, this agent feels it is "problematic" to treat me as an individual tenant with my own rights and so prefers to wash their hands of it. The new flatmate is left feeling the same. UK law doesn't help flatmates moving in with existing tenants under one umbrella agreement, but the treatment I experienced felt demoralising. It was my first time in such an arrangement and an agent knowing this should provide support. If you value clear communication, tenant support and basic professionalism, avoid this agency and avoid joint letting agreements.

Superb

Dealt with Joanne and Ruth in the West Derby branch. Ruth had been amazing and dealing with her kept my stress levels low. What I thought she couldn’t help me any further Ruth never gave up and did it successfully to help me chase things up to help me complete my sale.Thank you so much

If I could leave no stars I would

If I could leave no stars I would! The Doncaster branch has been nothing but incompetent as a letting agent! This appauling service has been going on for several years. The staff don’t care about the tenants or the landlords they are supposed to be acting on behalf of. If you use this company with its inept and careless staff you are certain to have nothing but problems which you are paying the privilege for. You have been warned!

Most incompetent letting agency.

This is the worst and the most incompetent letting agency. My property manager is off 70% of the month. And the days she is in she only responds by saying leave it upto me. And that’s all.. the issue is left with her and she doesn’t do anything about it. None of the employees would get back to you even after promising a call back including the managers. They simply don’t care what the tenant is going through.

A very professional firm in all our dealings with them. They gave sensible advice in relation the the strengths and weaknesses of the market, and in turn our property pricing. We were delighted with the level of enquiries generated and the manner in which Dane kept us fully informed throughout the process. Pleasant and personable throughout, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
