I had my property listed with Knight Frank Oxford for around three months, and the service was very disappointing. I met Damien and Harry at the property at the start, and that was the only time either of them came to see it during the whole instruction. I understand the market can be difficult, but there was very little proactive effort to improve the chances of a sale. Communication was poor throughout. I had to chase for updates every couple of weeks, and very little contact came from them without me prompting it. The biggest issue was simply trying to get hold of them. Calls and voicemails often went unanswered, and towards the end I was trying several numbers with no response at all. That was the point where I decided to move agents. If I, as the client, struggled to get through, I had no confidence that potential buyers were getting a better experience. There were plenty of explanations for the lack of viewings, but very little evidence of active selling or follow-up. Nice brochures and a big brand name are not enough. For the level of fee being charged, I expected a much more proactive, responsive and professional service. Based on my experience, I would look elsewhere.

Years ago I was very pleasantly surprised when Oliver Saxton offered to value the local bridge club (for its annual accounts) at no charge. He said he was happy to help as it might eventually result in a new customer. Years later it did. The sale has, for legal reasons, taken just over a year, but Oliver has been consistently helpful and realistic. I'm very happy to recommend Knight Frank.

I have just exchanged on a property sale in Oxford. Olly Saxton was the agent. I was first introduced to Olly via my mother who bought a property through KF and Olly and she was so Impressed with him that she advised me to approach him when I was selling my property. She was right. I initially planned to sell a few years ago and first contacted Olly then, he’s been guiding me over the last few years about the market and providing me helpful advice personal to my situation about when best to sell and how to position the house on the market. Within a week of putting the house up for sale we had an offer and exchanged 3 months later. Olly is professional, fair, trustworthy and highly experienced. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

Avoid this agency. We paid a deposit on the 13th and submitted all required documents. After that, communication almost completely stopped. Emails were ignored and the agent responsible said she would confirm the possible move-in date (23rd) with the landlord, then disappeared. No calls, no emails. We only found out that the landlord had agreed to our tenancy when we called them ourselves. They clearly knew earlier but never informed us. Later we were told the flat had multiple issues (faulty window, damaged carpet, toilet problems). As of the 27th, they still couldn’t give us a clear move-in date. Two weeks of waiting and uncertainty, and in the end we were left with no flat. Completely unprofessional.

Very disappointing service and poor communication.

We booked a house viewing in Wrexham a week in advance for 10:30am today. At 10am, just 30 minutes before our appointment, we received a call saying they still needed to obtain permission from the homeowners before we could attend. This should have been confirmed when the viewing was booked. We had both arranged time off work to attend, so being informed at such short notice was frustrating and caused unnecessary inconvenience. When I called the office to complain, I was simply given an apology and told there was nothing they could do. I felt there was no real accountability or acknowledgement of the time we had wasted. A viewing booked a week in advance should be properly coordinated with the homeowners. We expected much better organisation and customer service.

Wouldn’t even give it a star to be honest, shocking company, misleading and miss advised. Blagged into getting a rent guarantor to ensure referencing will be fine - transparent about everything still swayed to go ahead just for them to pull out. Advised keys should be available by end of the week because everything will be fine with a rent guarantor. Lied about what let alliance came back with and how they work. (Did ring let alliance and was advised correctly) Misleading, missed advised, they just lied from start to finish. Oh and they also state the decision ends with them not the landlord which again is incorrect and just to clarify the landlord knew about everything upfront and still signed off. Horrendous incompetent staff
