GoogleVery hard to get deposit back. Were ok throughout the year, but in the end was time consuming, annoying and quite unfair.

Hi Peggy, really sorry that you had a disappointing ending with your tenancy. Of course, it is your landlord who proposes any deductions from the deposit, and this would be based on the inventory and schedule of condition that was updated at your check-out appointment. I understand that the negotiations took 11 working days, but you did get all the undisputed moneys back in a timely manner, and in the end we were able to persuade our client to review his proposals and agree a satisfactory conclusion. Your experience is a great example of why it is worth annotating the original inventory if there are any inaccuracies, and ensuring that one of the tenants is present at the check out appointment to clarify any grey areas with the person putting the check-out report together. I am not sure that the result was "unfair", as if you had considered it to be so, surely you would have taken the matter to the TDS (Tenancy Deposit Scheme)?

GoogleHorrible experience. If you have a problem with your letting property they will make it worse. I had let with them for a year. I will never ever ever even think of doing it again. Hope this helps.. run away if you’re still in time.
