Horrible experience with this agency, If you look through the reviews you will notice all the good reviews are from landlords and all the tenant reviews are awful. They only care about their landlords and treat tentants unfairly. In one of our “inspections” we were advised to clean our bannister properly as they had photographed a fly that had died on top of the wood 🤣 Our deposit was taken for absolutely no reason and we were forced to use the deposit protection scheme to intervene. We were also forced to pay £3000 to leave our tenancy a few months early only to find the property is still being used by somebody which we discovered through water bills and bin collections. This is just a warning to any potential tenants I would strongly advise re considering signing a rental agreement with this company I assure you they will not treat you fairly. On the other hand if you are a potential Landlord I can’t recommend them enough they will make you lots of money at the expense of their tenants.

The full management service provided by College & County is an essential ingredient in achieving my objectives and from speaking to tenants in my properties; they appear to enjoy dealing through College & County, which is of course hugely encouraging for me as a landlord. Zero customer service, especially from the manager. All they care about is money. They don't care about the residents at all. You will get a lot of unnecessary emails about how to spend your money, heating and that. They dont properly check their accounts and keep placing people in rent arrears when rent has already been paid. Also, they make a lot of unnecessary visits. Nothing helpful or useful from this agency. There is no reasonable way out of the contract once you sign it and no further support. Be warned.

A multiplicity of problems within the duration of our tenancy, especially regarding structural mould. After communicating with college and county about the mould issues *several* times, the only ‘solutions’ given were links to mould remover sprays online. This was at best a temporary solution which in no way prevented the dangerous mould from appearing again. There was never any kind of investigation, etc, into why the mould occurred, or consideration for us as tenants. As we are students, I predict there was an expectation by the landlord and agents that we were the ones causing mould and other problems within the flat. However, I can say confidently that is not the case, as we kept the flat well ventilated and in good condition. Also it wouldn’t be unreasonable to say that it seemed like they wanted us to just accept our fate in substandard housing, as we were students with a yearly contract. Expected a lot more from such a well known lettings agency. Would never use again.

My partner and I were in a property managed by the Thame College and County Property Management team for just over 2 years, and our time with them was superb. Our main point of contact was Ellen, who was always able to solve any issues we had quickly and left us with a smile. When it came time to move out, we received the initial inventory report to say that the professional clean wasn't up to standard. We immediately called Ellen who informed us that she had already been in touch with the cleaners and that they had been booked in to re-attend to the property. This saved us a huge amount of stress! Rowan from College & County is an absolute champion and went above and beyond to help us sell our house.
