Absolute shambles. I wish I could take the stars away. They do nothing apart from robbing people without giving the service. Started with Daniel from the Sunbury office who promised us of great customer service and communication. Daniel along with his team at sunbury hardly communicated and their specialist team had no clue when they spoke to me over the phone. A sale that would normally take couple of months took over five months to complete. When I layed the frustation out to the senior directors they first asked me to pay their fees. Once I paid the fees they just told me to that there is nothing they can do. Plz plz plz do not deal with this company. You will regret your decision for ever

We have had the pleasure of dealing with Jayne Morris originally from the Kington branch, who helped us almost 2 years ago with our rental search. She had ideas and inspirations for us, before we even moved in. Nothing was a problem and she would always plan to see us, for viewings, when convenient with myself and my partner. Since we have lived here, Jayne has always gone above and beyond with helping us and sorting any problems out, highly recommended.

I was delighted with the excellent service I received from Declan Hartigan at Chancellors. I called one morning on the off chance there were any vacant properties to view that afternoon and he arranged a viewing within a couple hours. I loved the property and was able to make an application in minutes. The entire process has been smooth as Declan has kept me well-informed and immediately answered any queries I've had. Also, the entire process was completed within a week! The help and efficiency I have received from Chancellors has taken the stress away from moving house!

I rent a flat via Chancellors and I have not seen people more UNPROFESSIONAL in my whole life. They only care about taking your money at the beginning of the process and making up ridiculous excuses to keep the money of your deposit at the end. NEVER AGAIN!

Exactly our experience too. I would never ever deal with this estate agent again. Absolutely disgraceful the way they treat tenants.

Been fortunate enough to deal with Jordan so far. Spoke with Helen today and was shocked by how rude and unprofessional she was. Not known any customer service or sales professional be so awful

I'd like to make clear that i'm not a disgruntled tenant who lost their deposit. My experience in the property was great. Chancellors were slow to reply to any emails we sent in the build up to renting the property, never able to take calls and generally quick to avoid doing any work. We asked for specific terms to be added to our contract, which they said was fine and approved. When it came to discussing this with the landlord, they'd had no communication about this and were very surprised. Fortunately the landlords honoured it, but it could have been very difficult for us. Chancellors also phoned to see if we were interested in viewing the property that we were moving out. So in short, terrible communication and customer service. But our flat and landlord was lovely.

Georgina Marshall has been excellent over the past few weeks on a number of deals. She's efficient, makes sure matters are progressing and is friendly and approachable. A real credit to Chancellors.

A Dis-honest Property Management Team. I will never ever rent a property from Chancellors again and would advise anybody else to read the reason below before considering renting from Chancellors. We have recently moved out of a 2 bed flat in oxford. During our tenancy, we had a few shelves, a towel rail and a mirror professionally fitted on the wall. When the new tenant came to view the property, she specifically requested that the above items remain fitted as the property needed them. Because of this request, we contacted the Chancellors property management team over 5 weeks prior to the end of our Tenancy. We explained the situation and received permission for the items to remain. Once we had left the property, we received a claim for £220 off our deposit to cover the removal of the aforementioned items. Once i phoned the Property management Team to discuss, they admitted that we had discussions about the items and that we had discussed it well in advance. I was assured that I would receive a response, however, I was left waiting day after day for any additional information. after numerous phonecalls (which were like talking to a brick wall), I began to become very frustrated so threatened to open a dispute with TDS and leave a negative review. Finally (after weeks of complaining and logging my dispute with TDS), I received confirmation from chancellors head office stating that the disputed amount will be returned in full. Because of this, I have given Chancellors 2 star instead of 1, however, I wasted a vast amount of my time because of the dishonesty and disorganization of the property management team.

As a contractor working with Chancellors has been great the refurbishment dept and property managers are friendly and helpful. Casey Gramson and Elysia Phillips have been fantastic to work with. They help greatly to get jobs completed, relaying information to Landlords and tenants.

if you are thinking of renting in oxford i could not recommend chancellors on Cowley road more highly our letting agent josh could not of done more for us, he was a true star and a credit to his company form the initial conversation over the phone to being shown round different property's in a professional but relaxed manner, he was truly outstanding any questions we had were answered and when we were having trouble with picking up the keys he could no of been more helpfull

with advice asking us to market our house at over 30k less than value, plus a lack of competence, we regret ever signing up with Chancellors. waiting for the contract to end so we can go with more competent estate agents.

absolutely appalling service. i cancelled the contract with them within the 14 days period due to a change in circumstances. they never even visited the property to take photos and it was never placed on rightmove. what followed was 4 months of debt letters, demanding paying costs. now been sent a county court letter. completely ignored when i challenged the costs, taken off in under 7 days. disgusting level of service. NEVER use this agent.

We had to rent a property in Oxford in a very short time and Richard Chaudry (from Chancellors Cowley branch) showed the most interest and dedication of any other estate agents in Oxford. He helped us a lot showing all the possible properties that fitted our requirements and he tried up to the last time sending us new information. Finally we decided to live outside Oxford, but if we move again in 1 or 2 years, we will contact Chancellors (and Richard) for sure.

I went to the agency 2 weeks ago to find a property to rent, everything seemed good and they showed me a properly for which they quoted the wrong rent just ti get me to sign a contract. Later on once i came to know about the real rent. I decided to go with the rival agency who happened to be handling the same property. I finalised everything and then Chancellors threatened me and the landlord both and made him say no to rent the flat after I had given my current landlord a notice. So practically as i am typing this review I am going to be homeless in 4 weeks as I am going abroad in 1 week and dont have time to look for another property. When I get back will have to empty the house i am in. They are real bullies and will threaten anyone who would not do what they ask for. One word of advice, dont go to them. The quote wrong prices just to make you sign the contracts and there is a good chance you will be homeless like me if you let them show you houses.

Oliver Marsden shepherded us very ably through some very tricky moments in the sale of our house in Florence Park. Throughout he was friendly, encouraging and honest about the situations we were faced with, from buyers pulling out to glitches with mortgages in the chain. He maintained just the right level of contact with us and was always responsive on the phone if we had queries in between his 'checking in' calls. Because we bought our new house through another branch of Chancellors he was also able to give us more information about progress with the various processes than the solicitors were able to. All together we were very pleased with the level of service and professionalism. Thanks, Oliver, and the rest of the team!

Tristan was friendly and professional, and was able to be reassuring in a way that is very important during the inevitably stressful waiting period prospective tenants go through before moving in.

We've had a handful of viewings and discussions with Ella and found her to be professional, responsive and genuine. Unlike with other estate agents, we haven't felt sold to and we've felt she has our best interests at heart.
