GoogleWORST ESTATE AGENT EVER!!!
COMPLETELY & UTTER UNPROFESSIONAL SALES TEAM, EXTREMELY RUDE & ABRUPT STAFF.
VENDORS - IF YOU THINK WHY YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT SELLING OR HAVING TO MAKE FURTHER REDUCTIONS TO SELL YOUR PROPERTY...CHANGE ESTATE AGENT TO A PROFESSIONAL ONE & YOU COULD SELL YOUR PROPERTY TO LOADS OF FIRST TIME BUYERS LIKE MYSELF.
PLS READ THE LAST 3 RECENT FEEDBACKS LEFT BY THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS,THE REST IS SELF EXPLANATORY!!!
I'M EVEN FORCED TO GIVE 1 STAR TO LEAVE THIS FEEDBACK... DON'T EVEN THINK THEY'RE WORTH EVEN THAT!

FacebookThis company seem to think they operate by different standards than other estate and letting agents. Had a bad experience when purchasing our home through them as they would not take our house off of the market until the moment we exchanged. And now trying to rent a property through them, they delayed getting back to me for so long the house I was interested in has been let and they wouldn't consider me anyway as I am reliant on my ex husband to pay the rent as I am a stay at home mum with 2 small kids despite other companies being happy with him as a guarantor. Would never deal with this company again.

GoogleOur house had been on the market with two other estate agents and we got very little interest. We engaged Chancellors following a meeting with Alex the manager. Within days we had viewings lined up and started to get feedback and eventually an offer at the asking price. This later fell through but they then started again and the first week there were four viewings and another offer. Chancellors did what the other agents couldn’t they fulfilled our wish to sell our house of 40 years.

GoogleAbsolutely have loved dealing with George from the Cowley branch who has provided us with a brilliant professional and honest service from the start until now. Nothing is too small or too big to ask for. He has been very patient with helping us with our search and is always open to questions and sharing his advice. Thank you so much. Overall a brilliant agency compared to most we have dealt with in Oxford.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

FacebookAVOID. Absolutely terrible service. 4 days before I was due to move in to a property which I had already paid a deposit and first month’s rent for, as well as having signed a contract, I was told the property had been sold so I could no longer move in. I was never even informed that the property was up for sale. This was over a week ago and despite phoning every day and speaking to 6 or 7 different people at Chancellors I have still not been refunded any of my money!

FacebookMy sister put a deposit and first months rent of £1130 on a house to rent (also signed a contract) , 4 days before she was going to move in they told her the property had sold, they did not inform her the property was even for sale. They still haven’t refunded her any of her money which they said they would in 3-5 working days (now been well over that) She has now had to use all of her months wages for the deposit and first months rent on another property (with a decent estate agent) and has informed them of this and they just keep fobbing her off! Absolutely disgusting company! AVOID

FacebookAbsolutely useless in property management. I’m not sure what service I’m getting for the astronomical fee they’re charging but I’m starting to think I can do a better job managing the property myself from Australia. It’s taken Chancellors 3 months to get a gas safety certificate passed and with poor communication to contractors, it’s costing me more money because guys turn around up to the property “without the right part” for the job. High staff turnover is also a sign of the rotten culture.
Avoid this firm like the plague.

GooglePretty poor experience. They are good when it comes to showing you the property, once you are a tenant with them, you suddenly become more a nuisance than a customer to them. They are really disorganized and unhelpful when it comes to responding to issues, you better go directly to Chancellors website and use their chat function than hoping to wait for a response from Oxford team when something needs fixing. From day 1 we constantly chased them for all kinds of things.
A week before we moved out, they arranged for an electricity check without telling us and suddenly the electrician was in our house as he had a key. Not cool.
The house we were renting was put on the market and the sales team was also not great with us. We constantly had to ask them to take their shoes off when they had viewings with potential buyers, and they kept walking over our light floors with wet shoes regardless. How many times do you have to ask for a common courtesy?? Once they locked us out of the house when they had a viewing by locking a faulty lock (which we had flagged to Chancellors ages ago), and we had to call a locksmith, of course they refused to cover the cost.
We waited 2.5 months to get our deposit back and had to chase so many times until they finally released it.
And even AFTER we moved out they still called us to arrange viewings!!
They even called us once about a house we had lived in years ago! come on tidy up your data base!!
Completely useless unfortunately.

Facebooko whom it may concern,
I am not used to giving this kind of review or writing at all because I believe that we can all make mistakes. But I think there are mistakes that cannot be made 3 times.
A month and a few days ago exactly I started to fill out the documentation to acquire a house with Chancellors. They called me very early every day and they were always very aware of what I needed. It took me a week to fill out the form and send all the documentation. The landlord approved us and only our references were missing.
They sent us the contract for 25th June and we are supposed to have the house that day. They called me and told me that at 11:30 am on the 25th we would meet at the house to hand over the keys. On Tuesday 23rd June they emailed me to tell me that unfortunately they have to delay the day of moving because we did not have the complete references.
We accept that and delay the day to 1st July. On July 1st we were told that it was impossible to move in because the Landlord had withdrawn the application due to our references and 3 days later an email arrived saying that our references are correct. On July 2nd the girl from the agency called me and told me that she has another house that we do not need anything else. That we do not have to worry at all and that she was going to take care of everything and we could move on 9th July.
As we were supposed to move on 25th June. We paid rent and deposit on 22nd June and from that day everything was delayed. We thought because they were just putting everything in order but each time we were delaying and delaying more and more.
We are on July 7 and the only thing I have done is try to call them and speak to the person in charge but they tell me that at the moment they cannot speak with me. Another very relevant point is that Lucinda Sturla the girl from the agency no longer works there since July 4 and now the manager was Olivia. I am trying to communicate with Olivia from that same day, July 4 and it is IMPOSSIBLE.
I spoke to the manager, John and he says he can't do anything because he doesn't have the letting department. What type of company does this to its clients who HAVE ALREADY PAID AN INCOME AND A DEPOSIT OF MORE THAN 2,600.00 POUNDS?
The MASSIVE PROBLEM is that at the moment I am on the street because I am supposed to sign a contract for June 25 and then for July 1 and THERE IS NO ANSWER.
I left my house on the 25th because the contract ended. This agency takes money from you and does not care about you. This is unheard of and disrespectful to us.
Now I am trying to get my money back for two days and I don't get a response.
Finally I decided to take legal action and go to lawyers because it seems disrespectful to me.

GoogleThe team at Chancellors and particularly Julian Dando were incredibly helpful and conscientious during a sometimes-difficult tenancy process. They guided us throughout the set-up and continued to give full support during the teething period as well. They were helpful, quick in communicating via email and the phone, and whenever we had an issue they were efficient in addressing it. Julian Dando is especially a supportive, thorough and friendly agent.
