This is my review about Chancellors Headington office. If there is negative value in review I would give -100. The worst housing agency I have ever dealt with. I had horrible experience with them. Let me tell exactly what happened with me. 1. Back in March 2022, I found one semi-detached house via ZOOPLA app, it was extremely beautiful according to their images. 2. I contacted the office (I do not want to specify names, but I basically dealt with everyone from the letting person to the the manager of the office). 3. They informed me the apartment is available If I am interested to rent it. 4. When asked about the cleanliness of the apartment, they said it is perfectly clean. 5. I believed them (I thought they are honest and trust worthy, but unfortunately not at all) and decided to take it. 6. They did reference check and they said that everything is Ok from your side and we can now proceed with signing the contract. 7. I said great. 8. Before I signed the contract, I asked them so many times to send me photos of the apartment as it is now. They did not send me anything, however they said to me not to worry. 9. Even though, I signed the contract I decided not to transfer the deposit until I arrive to Oxford. 10. When I arrived at Heathrow, someone called me from the headington office and asked me to transfer the deposit before I can get the keys. I told her, Ok, I will do it now but it will be through my Finnish bank account. And I did and sent her the receipt for bank transfer. 11. When I arrive Oxford with my wife and two little kids with 8 luggages, I left my family on the street in the headington shops bus stop and I went to the office across the street. 12. I said Hi and I introduced myself> No one even said welcome. 13. When I asked them for the key they said No, why? Because they still did not get the deposit and the rent in their bank. I showed them the my receipt but surprisingly did not consider. What should I do now, I asked? The manager of the office came to me without even saying hi to tell me I have to make a cash deposit in our bank. It was Fridays 1st of April 2022 around 3 pm. I still do not know anything in Oxford with all banks are closing soon. With no mercy from those people, I had to leave my wife and kids on the street and I was running back and forth trying to withdraw cash. Athe last minute I was able to deposit the bony in their bank account. 14. I headed back to the office and showed them receipt and finally decided to give me the key. 15. Before I left, I asked them just one last time about the apartment cleaning. All of them informed me that the apartment was cleaned two days ago and it is perfectly ready for you. 16. When we arrived the house, here it comes the shocking surprise, the house was full of garbage, horrible smell, black and yellow moulds were covering everything in the kitchen. We were speechless. I called the office trying to clarify what happened, and you can guess what they said. It is your apartment now and we cannot do anything for you, they said to me over the phone. 17. The inventory guy arrived then and he was feeling sorry for us and he helped us in finding a hotel for me and my family. 18. When I went to the office on next Monday, I met the one lady (letting manager), she told me she checked the apartment herself few days ago and it was fine. I was speechless in front of her lies. 19. I complained to the city council and they promise to look into the problem. Honestly I want to compliment the people at Oxford city council, they responded very fast and they were very helpful. 20. Finally, I was able to get my money back after the landlord surrendered and agreed to mutually cancel the tenancy contract. You can see our first day in Oxford was a really horrible day because of those people at Headington office, which I will never forget. My advice to anyone coming to UK for the first time, do not ever rent apartment remotely. Come first and view the place and then decide.

The Chancellors team at Headington have helped me to rent out my house. Their service were diligent and the process when smoothly. Jonathan Pincott was very attentive to my requirements and the advertising was well organised. Also, Francesca Deacon has dealt swiftly with arranging the documentation required for renting the house. However, I believe that their service would greatly improve if quotes from several contrators are provided for each job and that those quotes are based on the contractors actually visiting the house to assess how big the jobs are.

I am new to Oxford and I'm in process of finding the house for rent. Based on my experience getting the house is really challenging but I found Chancellors, Headington is the best. I'm so thankful to Iulia Branduse, she is so friendly, kind, helpful and really nice in showing multiple options and promptly response to me quires either through mail or phone call. She explains me all terms and conditions in detailed which I should understand. I have been property searching with no luck for the last few month's. Frankie Poole from Chancellors Headington has been the most professional, available and efficient agent I've ever worked with! She is always such a pleasure to talk to and was really just so helpful when it came to securing a place. She took the time to understand our needs and preferences and guided us through the process and was very knowledgeable. She's a reliable and trustworthy agent who worked around our schedules and was always very flexible. She went above and beyond in her role - she was happy to speak after the office had closed in order to sort any issues that had arised.
