We had been trying to sell our house in this awful market for a few months now. Our estate agent just wasn’t doing enough and pressure was mounting on us. We decided to give Springbok a go. I must I was quite impressed with the speed with which they handled everything. They made us an initial offer within a few hours of making the enquiry. After assessing our offer we decided to move forward and we agreed upon an exchange and completion date. It was really that simple and quick. I wish we had contacted Springbok earlier.

Someone rang us from Springbok and they were so impolite and spoke to me as if I was a moron. It was more of an interrogation!! - they made out they were doing us a favour by even taking our place on!! Only said what it wasn’t worth !! Not friendly at all just terribly pushy - bad sales technique completely. My advice would be to keep away from them.

To be honest a complete disappointment from start to finish. If we hadn’t already changed from a high street agency we would have changed again. A complete lack of communication from start to finish. I once called six times in one day to finally get a call back around 8pm. On another occasion they were supposed to call with an update but no call came. I left it a week thinking they may have misunderstood when the call was due but still no call. Eventually it was 4 weeks later before they called. The only answer to lack of interest was to reduce the asking price. No advice on changing the advertising or anywhere the property could be improved. If I need another estate agent I certainly won’t use Springbok again.

I was told the market was saturated with houses in my area, nothing was moving and asked if I'd take a lower offer. I mentioned, in confidence, what the lowest offer I could accept was but hoped to be nowhere near that. They would ring almost weekly asking if I'd accept less than what I had previously told them, knowing it would mean I'd be selling at a loss. The house was then advertised for "offers in excess of" my lowest acceptance offer. They still couldn't achieve that and advised that, "maybe I should take a hit". I looked into moving to a local estate agent with local knowledge of the area. They advised me that the area was in fact, not saturated and that houses were selling, within weeks, for asking price. As springbok had advertised my house at a lower price, I could not then relist for market value. Springbok then came through with a buyer achieving roughly 45k under market value and at a loss to myself. Personal circumstances forced the sale otherwise I'd have moved agents without a doubt.
