I am a Landlord with very small portfolio (3) one of which, in St Anns Nottingham, has been a constant problem with various tenants trashing the place.In desperation I put it on the market with a local estate agent in 2017, it was in very good condition at this point; it was for sale for six months and did not sell.A few weeks ago, in desperation, I put it up for auction with SDL Nottingham and set a low reserve because the house was now in a poor state due to the sitting tenant.SDL sold the house for a value way above the reserve, a value higher than the abortive offer I got with the estate agent.To say I am pleased is a massive understatement.What is more, the whole auction experience was far simpler and much friendlier than the failed estate agent transaction. The team of Laura, Jess G and Sarah B were not only super-efficient, but also really friendly and helpful. I had a difficult sitting tenant, it was fascinating to watch Laura deal with her so well and when the tenant later on refused viewins, the office contacted her and soon had it sorted.I will certyainly use SDL again.

I have found the whole SDL team a pleasure to deal with, specific mention has to go to Morgan & Thomas who have both guided me through the auction process, as I had a very limited knowledge prior to my dealings with them. We have closed out two successful auctions with another seven currently underway! My vendors have also found the SDL team approachable & informative in setting up/taking them through to completion via online auction. This firm has always been in close contact with me the seller of a 150 year old house in London.The auctioneer was splendid and clear, not rushing the proceedings and finally patient enough to obtain the best possible price.Being able to watch on line was extremely helpful and I would certainly use this method of selling a property again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF MERCHANT.Charges worked out to over 3.5% of the value of the property which were not clearly communicated till after the purchase.1. Auction Entry Fee2. Separate Auction Fee 3. SDL Commission (on top of the auction fee) 4. Sellers "standard" fees...not really sure what this was for but the only explanation my solicitor got from SDL was that it was a standard fee (hidden in the small print of the contract)Wouldn't buy through them again

GoogleAs a property manager with many landlords wanting to sell their properties quickly and stress free i always find that SDL are the most resonsive, helpful and professional company to use. My assigned agent is Andy who is always on hand with great advice and is super professional when dealing with my clients. Even when dealing with complicated sales i can leave Andy to sort all that side out. Highly recommend.
