We rented through haart for around 2 years. We probably should have pre-empted issues when they got my name wrong on the contract. But hey, it could happen anywhere right? So I corrected them, the contract was amended and it was all good. That was until we go the renewal contact with both my first name and surname totally wrong again.. Although I have to say I laughed about it as it wasn't even the same wrong name they gave me in the beginning? They mumbled about it being property managements fault and told me a corrected one would be sent (never received) There were other annoyances throughout our tenancy however it was after we had moved out and awaiting our deposit return the big problems started. We enlisted the help of my mum and had the house cleared out 2 weeks before the keys needed to be handed in to ensure everything was clean and tidy. My husband then receives a call telling us that money would be kept for a broken boiler? Well as it was working fine before we left we were furious. When we visited the branch no one knew anything about a broken boiler and the money was apparently being kept because there were animal faeces in the back garden? As we had no pets somehow I don't think this is our problem?! Are we meant to control the neighbours cats after we have left? We were incredibly annoyed and confirmed we would be disputing this, and asked that they send it in writing. However when we received the invoice (from their own maintanence company that didn't even visit the property, convenient hey?) It included things that weren't even included in the checkout report. Just writing this is getting me angry again. In short, the deposit was escalated to TDS. It was at that point we were able to view the emails between haart and the landlord (uploaded as their evidence) let's just say unprofessional is an understatement, and as a result copies of all documents including those emails have been printed and will be passed on to the tenants that moved into our old property. (Seeing as haart and the landlord have already decided they will be paying for something that was broken in the house before myself and my husband even moved in and was documented on our check in report) AVOID. In addition. You have to question the quality of a company if all their 5* reviews have been left by staff. Go figure.

Emails go unanswered. Phones not picked up. Clearly business must be very good at the moment to be so very careless and unresponsive. Gosh, I wonder what will happen when the property market takes a downturn? Will people use those with a bad reputation then I wonder? I suppose Haarts will just have to write even more of their reviews I guess! Isn't it strange that everyone who gives them a good review has only ever given 2 reviews previously? It's almost as if they'd only recently registered a profile to give an excellent review to someone they work for or something...?

We've recently rented a property through Haart, throughout the entire process the team have been professional, responsive and timely with their communication and management, renters are often overlooked and undervalued but our experience with Haart has been excellent, Rachael especially has been friendly and communicative and a delight to speak to. We've had an issue with our boiler not long after moving in, and Bettina on the repairs team kept us up to date with the progression of how the issue was being resolved and this was a smooth and fairly fast process. Letting agents can be really hit and miss if you rent, but Haart have been so brilliant we will definitely be using them to help us when we're ready to buy in the future, and it is a relief knowing the property we're currently renting is well managed. Thank you team!

Mixed feelings as they did sell my property (from probate) but the relationship soured towards the end, with the agents getting more aggressive in their communications, ending up with un-professional exchanges. Rather than letting our solicitors iron out any issues, their constant barracking wound up our buyers and intervened to such an extent they negated a legal indemnity that could have been put in place. I was threatened with the buyers ‘considering pulling out’, but at this point I was seriously on the point of pulling the sale from HAART and listing with an alternative agent. Yes I would have likely lost money, I was that upset by their approach and hassle that I was prepared to do it. Finally, the initial ‘sales line’ of a tiered % rate and an attractive valuation “I’ve never failed to achieve the top rate” (ie: in excess of the asking price), this concept went up in smoke once we were signed up. Not an unusual sales tactic, and all’s fair in love and war (and selling houses?), but overall, not impressed; it felt like I was dealing with 18-year olds with no experience, they should know better and conduct themselves more professionally. Fortunately, I’ve no longer any ties with Norfolk, so I won’t need to, or would want to, use them again. Not recommended.
