This company is "Haart-less" . I recently applied for a property and followed all the guidance given. Rachael in the office appeared extremely helpful and willing to do all she could for me. This is until I had 1 failed mark on the referencing. Despite earning very good money and also my current landlord willing to offer a explanation to the answer. Both haart and the potential new landlord did not in my opinion try to work with me to resolve it. I had a very distinct impression that after the money was received from me that is when the helpful nature towards me ended. And obviously they keep all monies i have paid them despite not really doing anything for me.. All in all a terrible experience which will make me think very hard about using haart ever again.NegativeQuality, Value

I live in Scotland but moving to Norwich in the near future, following an offer to buy being accepted of a bungalow in Norwich. After filling out an offer form, following some slightly slow communications regarding a few details (not to tedious but certainly not as clear and direct as you want these sort of things to be), we sent of the offer and were informed that two other people had applied but we had a good chance. I was told I would know the landlords verdict by 5 pm that day. 5 pm came and went and no update was given, understandable maybe the landlord was still considering the offers. The following morning I dropped a message to ask for an update, No reply. Waited the full day and heard nothing back. Later that evening I checked online to see that the advertisement was now marked "Let Agreed". Feeling discouraged I sent a message, with a screen shot of the ad, asking to clarify that this meant we had been unsuccessful with our offer. Again I received no reply. As first time renters this was a pretty bad experience. Missing the agreed time of update is understandable, things change. But never giving an update just feels rude. The fact that I found out we had been unsuccessful whilst I was pulling up the ad to show pictures of the property to some friends was just straight embarrassing. On top of this, as first time renters, it's valuable and helpful for us to know why we were unsuccessful, or what another applicant had that we lacked. If Haart had told us this we could have possibly changed our exceptions, worked with an agent to find a property we were more likely to be accepted to, or at a minimum be told what we could do to help with future offers. Instead it seemed we were given the cold shoulder the moment another party was selected. It is for this reason that I will be avoiding Haart for my current and all future rental searches. On the upside, whilst/when communication was good the agent I spoke with was incredibly kind and helpful, explaining everything clearly over the phone. It's when communication moved to messaging that things seemed to deteriorate unfortunately. I would leave more stars but the totalizing rejection from not just the landlord, but in a way Haart, has left the whole experience wholly tarnished. I have no issue with being beaten to a property, that isn't Haarts fault, its the way this was handled that really spoiled it. This is in no way an attempt to discourage you from using the these guys when looking for a place in Norwich, the other reviews show that they are a great letting agency. I just hope that the next time someone unfamiliar with the process is unsuccessful in their application, Haart can do a little more to inform them of their rejection and help find a property more suitable.

We've recently rented a property through Haart, throughout the entire process the team have been professional, responsive and timely with their communication and management, renters are often overlooked and undervalued but our experience with Haart has been excellent, Rachael especially has been friendly and communicative and a delight to speak to. We've had an issue with our boiler not long after moving in, and Bettina on the repairs team kept us up to date with the progression of how the issue was being resolved and this was a smooth and fairly fast process. Letting agents can be really hit and miss if you rent, but Haart have been so brilliant we will definitely be using them to help us when we're ready to buy in the future, and it is a relief knowing the property we're currently renting is well managed.
