I have dealt with Bidwells since 1979 when I joined the family retail business in Trinity Street Cambridge. Their job was to review the rent on behalf of the College. Now retired I use them as agent for a flat I own to let. Mel Jarvis has found me three excellent tenants and now we begin the forth set. Lacie Hay manages the tenancies ongoing and sets my mind at rest with calm assurance. I have forgiven Bidwells now that I am a landlord myself, though I doubt they will ever make me as rich as Trinity.

Though I am yet to secure a property, Andy at Bidwells went above and beyond to help me find a property, letting me know of properties due to become available and getting in contact as soon as something became available to help with my property search (most people will only help with that particular property and even then don't always give much help due to the large number of people inquiring about properties). Would recommend anyone looking to rent or buy a house to contact Bidwells and request that you speak to Andy.

9 years ago I purchased a property through Bidwells. The service was fantastic. Bidwells then found the most perfect tenants for the property. My tenants have all been professional,long term tenants of a high calibre. Nothing is too much for the Bidwells team, they have arranged engineers for gas safety certificates yearly. And plumbers etc for any other works. I highly highly recommend Bidwells.

From Sofia, who set up the viewing & met me on key collection day, to Warrick who negotiated & handled my house purchase (& answered all my queries in a respectful & genuinely kind way), Laura and all the other staff at the Trumpington office - they have all been great: treating me with respect and kindness, and seemed genuinely excited with me when I went to pick up the keys! I attempted to sell my house with an online estate agent in order to buy a house that was being sold through Bidwells. After numerous issues with selling through the online agent I eventually did the sale and purchase through Bidwells. I was selling our family home after my mother passed away and had 3 estate agents visit to pitch for the business. Robert Couch came to discuss options and pricing, and presented us with the a selection of material for similar properties with sale prices to justify the valuation. It wasn't the highest valuation, and they didn't offer the cheapest fees. We went with Robert because we felt we'd get the most personalised service. Also, we had to have a high level of trust given we weren't local and couldn't monitor things closely. They were very patient with our changes to the marketing material and despite hitting lockdown #1 just as we were to about to go live, kept in contact regularly to make sure we were all ready to go move quickly once the lockdown ended. As soon as viewings could start, potential buyers were ready to go. We were kept well informed on progress and within a few weeks of the first viewing it had gone to sealed bids. The final steps taking us through to completion were equally efficient. Robert acted with integrity throughout and achieved the best result possible.

I am impressed with the efficiency on the work Bidwells has delivered. It only took 2 weeks from handover upon completion to the conclusion of tenancy agreement. I appreciate the advice and guidance throughout . As an overseas investor, it is important that we could find someone reliable who is on the ground and can provide timely response. Quick and professional service, helpful, accessible (over the telephone works the best) and able to quickly solve issues. One star less is for a Goodlord referencing company, whose attitude is total opposite: pathetic chatbot with "backdoors" to bypass programmed stubbornness, no personal (operator) contact possible and absolutely no response from the support team for two opened cases.
