GoogleDisappointed!! I have been following online ads and always refreshing the page during the day to see the newest flats. I saw one property which matches perfectly what I am looking for and phoned Alexander and Co directly to book online viewing in the earliest availability on 22nd of September. I highlighted my interest in this property and explained I am just back from abroad so I am isolating myself in a different city thus wanted to rent the property after seeing the video(without seeing it physically). My best contact number, email address and WhatsApp number have been taken with the promise of sending the video on Friday. An appointment was scheduled on Friday around 4 pm (25th of September). A gentleman gave the promise to send the video directly after that time. On Friday I have been called to check whether I attend the viewing and approved for the virtual viewing. I called again to check if joining physically is necessary to rent this property I told I can join the viewing if needed! Another lady confirmed we can complete contract via email. However, no video sent on Friday. I called on Saturday again. My number, email etc have been noted again to send video on Saturday! Again no video, no call, no email, no response!! I think a healthy customer-agency relationship must start with trust, honesty and politeness. I found the staff really rude, segregationist and non-professional. Please don't expect to be called after giving your personal information to Alexander & Co in Norwich. I cannot trust this agency any more and I shared my experience to help people who are looking at a property online.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

GoogleTotal cowboys from start to finish. Note how the 5 star reviews are by one contribution "people" as they try to game the reviews? Note how they try to shut down any negative review in their wonderfully acerbic way? Avoid this lot at all costs - totally unprofessional outfit that should not be in business. The negative reviews are all true. UPDATE: They have flagged this as spam and tried to give it the "we take it seriously" and now Google Reviews are not showing the review everywhere - they are total cowboys gaming the reviews.

Given my experience with this company I strongly suggest to use a different Estate Agent if you want to deal with a company that is both professional and puts its customers first. Employees are rude, arrogant and derogatory. It's more than questionable how such an organisation continues to exist whilst providing such appalling customer interaction and service.NegativeProfessionalism

GoogleHorrified by my experience with Alexander & Co. They were happy to facilitate blatant discrimination from landlords against disabled applicants- both morally disgusting and very much illegal. If you're looking for a letting agent that will treat you fairly, they are definitely not it. Claims of 'a clash of personalities' were the reason for our rejection; this doesn't stand up to scrutiny given that the only conversation had with the landlord was complementary, with us commenting on the good condition of the house. I'd had a really good first impression of staff upon first meeting them, which makes this review all the more difficult to write. However, the treatment I've received was truly appalling, hurtful and not acceptable.

GoogleHonestly can recommend this company enough! We went for a viewing and loved the house and were moved in within 2 weeks! Very friendly staff and extremely responsive to any queries. The whole process was very smooth and we were kept well informed throughout the process. I would like to especially mention Zach, who has been an absolute delight! He has looked after us so well throughout the moving process. He is always bright and cheery on the phone and willing to help in whatever way possible. Very unprofessional and messy service when checking out of lease. £50 to replace 2 bulbs that can be bought for a £6,99 each is a joke. Would avoid if you can.

GoogleI've been with A&Co for a year and for the period they have been my letting agents, I could not fault them. They have been exceptionally friendly and responsive. Having rented in Norwich for 5 years, I can safely say that they are one of the best agents I've been with. Extra gold star for Amy and Zach, who I've directly dealt with most. Always been a pleasure to communicate with them.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! this Estate Agent at all cost…..all friendly when you are their tenant but the minute you give notice everything changes. Both landlord and agency attempted to take half of my deposit for minor things. Unwilling to compromise I had to use TDS mitigation to resolve issue which they resolved very fairly. Absolute scammers…

GoogleMy partner and I had a viewing booked for Helena Road in Norwich, the agent Imogen failed to turn up as agreed and we were told after calling them whilst stood outside the house that they'd not received the keys. Imogen claimed she'd left us a voicemail but let's be honest, if someone tries to call your mobile you get a missed call notification, she had clearly never attempted to let us know. Forgivable mix up and we re-booked for the following day. We received a text from Imogen confirming the second viewing the next day, we waited.. and waited.. 25 minutes later Imogen had failed to turn up to the second viewing, no contact, no apology. We are looking to buy very soon and would definitely never consider anything marketed by Alexander and Co. Very poor service and totally unprofessional. Imogen should consider how much of other peoples personal time she has chosen to waste by not bothering to keep track of her own calendar. GoogleThey gave us our contract the day before moving in. They gave us the inventory late but expected it to be in on time still. They are very bad at communicating, especially when they promise to have something done in a specific time frame. The estate agent charged high administration fees, however they are now illegal. Be sure to check if you will be provided with white goods as our flat had images of white goods on the advertising but were not provided.

GoogleMy original tenancy was with Premier Properties - no problems for many years. Lovely staff. The communication problems started when they were taken over by Alexandra & co. I was given incorrect advice when my sister (joint tenant) moved out. We were advised that she could no longer stay on the tenancy. Incorrect. They wanted me to sign up for another six months new tenancy agreement and take lots more Estate agent fees from me. Sister did stay on tenancy even though the lady was so rude about it. Throughout six years I had three monthly inspections and deep cleaned the house for this. No problems. When I moved out, checking out was with a third party and not any Premier Property staff. I was advised there were ’dirty porch floor tiles’ and ‘watermarks’ on the kitchen sink. House had been empty for two weeks and Alexandra & co continued to show round prospective tenants in that time. The house was cleaner than when I moved in. I was advised that they wanted me to pay half the cost of a professional clean to ‘remove debris’ and ‘limescale’. Neither of which were on the check out inventory. Nor does it state in my tenancy I need to pay for a professional clean. I agreed to pay 50/50 for a stair carpet clean (despite the carpet being years old). And they tried to charge me for cleaning the box room carpet which was not agreed/nor on the check out inventory. It was amended after I had to tell them. Throughout my tenancy the landlord barely put his hand in his pocket to repair/replace anything. Alexandra & co. In my opinion do not care about the tenants but only want to help and take money to help the landlords. They tried to pull me up on a ‘mark’ on the bathroom Lino. We had tried to get said Lino replaced several years ago due to poor state and leaking toilet, but landlord had refused. My tenancy ended on 19th July and I only just got my deposit back on 27th August. This was after extensive arguments, emails and calls to Alexandra and Co and me writing to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, complaining about them. I WOULD NEVER WANT TO HAVE ANYMORE DEALINGS WITH THIS AGENCY AGAIN. In 25 years of renting they are the rudest staff, not forgetting giving you incorrect information to make more monies for themselves. Thank goodness new tenancy laws have come into effect to try and minimise estate agents taking excess money off vulnerable tenants. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

GoogleLiars and discrimination Went to view a property with this agency , fell in love with the house and decided to go for it . Paid the agency fees , went down next day to get application forms to be given a story about how someone else was meant to move in across the road but that has fell through which resulted in them being given the property we hoped for . We got told it was “morally right “ , and because they are further through the application it was just easier . Unhappy with being pushed out like this we decided to get a family member to call the next day to see the property was available , to which they btold yes. The agent said nobody has gone for it , they can go for viewings and put an offer in. Moments later my partner phones up and gets told no, by the same guy ? Totally denined the conversation , although it was on loud speaker . Now I’m not sure if they have an issue with our age , or our appearance but either way there is a case of discrimination here . If there was an issue with dealing with “younger “ (we are 25&28) , just be up front instead of the lies and deceit.
