I have had my flat managed by Alexander & Co over several years, and throughout that time the service I received was consistently efficient, professional and reliable. In particular, Amy has been absolutely outstanding. She has always gone above and beyond in her role - responding quickly whenever issues arose, keeping me fully informed, and guiding me through situations with clarity and professionalism rather than simply offering general advice. Her support during my plumbing headaches has been a huge bonus. As someone who has spent many years working away from home, I would not have achieved what I did without her help for which I am extremely grateful. Without doubt I would highly recommend Amy and the agency to anyone looking for a dependable and professional letting service.

I would like to highlight that Amy was always super friendly, understanding and pro-active in dealing with any issues that I had with the property. We have been renting via alexander and co for the past year and it has been the best experience. We’ve dealt with different rental agencies and this one has been the best by far. Amy is part of the property management team and she has been amazing! She is always on hand to help and advise whenever we’ve had a question, even something as silly as how to change a lightbulb. She’s always friendly and communicates well, she gets back to emails quickly and is very thorough in her explanations too. We’ve recently moved out of the property and she has made that as smooth as possible as well for us. I cannot fault them one bit. Thank you for an amazing rental experience :)

My landlord was the worst, never gets back to you and will skimp on absolutely everything to save each and every penny - scrooge doesnt even cover it! Avoid with a barge pole!!! When the Eastwood branch was Robert Barber and sons I had a great solicitor called Helen work on my case for 6-8 months at a cost of £1200. After going back to the same building (different name!) I had a 1 hour meeting that was a complete waste of time because I was told they couldn’t help at a cost of £600. A phone call later to ask a question and another bill for £308… absolute con artists that provide no help whatsoever. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

Scammed me out of my deposit through 'late rent fees' which would now be illegal by the Tenant Fees Act 2019. They also lied claiming that multiple bulbs needed to be replaced when I had already paid the expense by replacing them before the end of tenancy. Edit: The reviews from Alexander & Co say it all. Whoever is manning the reviews, they are incredibly cocky and impolite. The property was very damp and unfit to live in, discovering after moving in. The property was left in a better condition than when I entered it. There were holes in the walls, the curtain rail falling apart, brickwork literally crumbling because of how damp it was, etc. I fixed a multitude of issues during my tenancy and you claim you would 'give me a one star rating' just because I have called you out on your terrible unethical practices. It really shows how unprofessional and immature you are. Further to the point of having the right to dispute the deductions, I DID dispute them. My disputes were completely ignored, and because I was suffering from depression due to the living conditions I was subjected to, I did not push on it which I should not have had to do in the first place. You should be ashamed and a one star review is more than fair.

After a few issues with the property/landlord during our time renting with Alexander & Co, I have had to bother Amy plenty of times! Amy has been helpful, prompt and communicative - when she has been held up by the landlord, she has been efficient, and done everything she can to actually fix the problem. Also, super helpful when it's come to the end of tenancy, helped us with moving in regards to flexibility and dates, and supported us when raising issues and ensuring everything has gone smoothly.

I've had to rate them one star which they absolutely do not deserve .... I've had to call 4 times to try and get to talk to someone also leaving a VM on my 3rd call late afternoon, asking for a call the following day, which, yes you've guessed it, I did not get, so I called again the following morning 11:49am, I spoke to Andrea on my 2nd call, she promised to get Andrea the Solicitor to call m back, this did not happen, I spoke to Amber on my 4th call ... Amber didn't even know I had left a message (3rd call) so clearly messages do not get picked up .... I've just spoken to a Solicitor now after Amber must have run around the office begging for someone to take my 4th call and was offered no apology by the voice on the end of the phone .. unbelievable, hasten to add, I will not be calling back ... beware people they charge enough money per hour to take you calls .. don't they??

We have had a 20 year relationship with Alexander & Co. as our letting agents. They have managed our property extremely well meaning that they have taken much of the worries in letting off our hands. They have always found good tenants - 5 in total. Sadly the time had come to sell the house. I have to thank the whole letting team for their help over the years. The staff went above and beyond to complete on a difficult purchase (difficulty not caused by them), especially James who kept us updated every step of the way and chased daily for updates for us. They are genuine and friendly staff who completely understand how important buying/ selling a home is and will handle each step professionally. Our experience with Alexander & Co in particular with Thomas Percival Cooke was amazing. From day one we had a property viewing, following we got accepted, everything was smooth, hassle free till the day we moved in. One of very good point that Alexander & Co was doing property viewing on Saturday which for us was more than amazing as we lived nearly 4 hours away so to view a property on a week days was not very suitable regarding work, many other estate agencies not doing property viewings on Saturday. Thomas was very polite, well mannered and very helpful, if we had any questions he gladly replied and explained. I prefer contact email rather than phone, and all my enquiries, paperwork was dealt through email with Thomas, so I really appreciate it and I was very happy about that. We met in person with Thomas on the day we came to office to collect property keys, it was lovely to meet Thomas in person, such a lovely man. We are assured that if anytime we need to contact Thomas during our tenancy, we will always have a great experience and in the future if we need to move again we definitely go through Thomas. It’s been our first time moving out, Alexander & Co has been incredible, Thomas Percival Cooke has been the person we have dealt with since day one and we move in at the end of the week he has been incredible making sure everything we are wondering about has been answered with plenty of time for us to finish getting the random things needed.
