We rented from northwoods Ipswich for 12 years then they sent us an eviction letter saying they wanted us out because they were moving family in but the truth is they wanted us out because we weren't paying enough rent they just sent painters in to paint the walls and put a new boiler in when we lived there the place was full of mice and damp so dont move into 237 heath Road Ipswich they just want to make more profit by charging £1300 a month phil was the only person who cared the rest waste the rest are a waste of space

GoogleFirst experience dealing with northwood as a first time buyer, office very quick and efficient with responses and bookings. Nikita was very helpful and friendly showing us round the property, she was extremely knowledgable and actually called me back the same day with answers to some more of the questions that I had. Won’t hesitate to use them again!

Never use the Warrington office if you are a landlord. When I received my property back it was clear that they never inspected. AllMy neighbours told me how they had complained and been ignored by the office. The damage done to the gardens was appalling with damage caused to the roof as it had been left be the tenant to overgrown for 2 years.Work that Northwood said needed to be done was substandard and all has had to be redone. They sold the guaranteed rental scheme on me having to do nothing and they would look after everything when what they meant was they would do nothing and I would have to do everything.I messaged them about the state of the property and the quality of the workmanship they provided and not surprisingly now they had no income they simply ignored.Stay away

Do not use this company.of your a Landlord.They sold a franchise to someone who used my property to grow weed.They got raided amd my power was disconnected.Northwood Coventry illegally reconnected the property amd replaced my front and back all of this without any of my knowledge.I found out 2 years later after a neighbour tood me.Rang up grid to get a crime number who told me i was never reconnected,they then disconnected me amd charged me 2 grand to reconnect on top of the thousands ive spent putting the property right.Please do not use and spread the word.

Checking out was a nightmare. Tried to charge me to replace stuff when the flat never came with them in the first place. Takes ages to respond to e-mail. There are no individual e-mail addresses (just a general one - At least in Northwood Aberdeen) and it makes it harder to communicate. There were times where my e-mails were ignored even. Would not recommend to anyone.

Northwood Derby Took a year (and counting) to sell my property during a "property boom" - will not use again. Life has been on hold for a year as a result. Personal and professional life have both been affected. Fine on the rental side and no issues - advice is stick to rentals.

First time viewing a property through Northwood Sandbach and will unfortunately never be viewing properties represented by this estate agents again. I waited 30 minutes and nobody showed up, called the Sandbach office twice in that time and kept being informed they were 2 minutes away which turned out to be a lie because after 40 minutes there was still a no-show, and even after I left the property I never received any contact from them to say they were there or to apologise. Completely wasted my morning/time driving up to Sandbach for nobody to show up. Poor service and unreliable so I will not be trusting this estate agents in future. The worst thing about it is that I was genuinely interested in buying the property I was viewing.

After moving abroad we entrusted our flat to Northwood to manage for us due to obvious logistical hurdles. We have lost thousands of pounds in just a year and a half of using Northwood. We have never had our flat vacant longer than 2 months, yet somehow they took 8 months due to incompetence, lack of any effort what so ever to market the flat and their contractors damaging the property. The photos and description made it look and sound like a dark dank dungeon and they cut holes in the bathroom ceiling for new spot lights, leaving the old light holes open until the tenant asked if they would repair, over 6 months after the old lights were removed. Once we finally got a tenant they left within a matter of months due to Northwoods incompetence to deal with a water leak from a neighbouring property and absolute refusal from Northwood to get involved when a neighbour removed the bushes from our private garden, removing all privacy from the road. I suspect the neighbour was annoyed with the lack of maintenance from our garden but as Northwood were not managing or maintaining our property as we employed them to do, it resulted in criminal damage. The tenants move out this week and the flat is still not being marketed yet which will result in even more costs for us. They do not respond to emails for weeks and only after chasing them, there is never anyone available to speak to if you call and the promised call back never happens. If this is how they treat their landlords, I cannot begin to imagine how badly they treat the tenants. AVOID!

GoogleVery poor from the moment we moved in, we moved in to a property that had no heating as the boiler needed fixing this was in "Beast from the East" lucky we could stay with family during those two week. The garden was disgraceful with over 100 screws that we had to remove. Throughout the tenancy numerous issues that took ages to resolve. And during check out wr left the house as clean as when we moved in but still "needed cleaning". They seem to do anything ti take as much money as possible and when you ring to chase this up or questiont this with them the person who is in charge is never in or unavailable at the moment. This is not just a rant from a disgruntled tenant, several friends who rented through northwood have experience similar issues. They have taken none of the issues we raised but continued to place the blame on ourselves. I do not appreciate your reply in where you imply I failed to inform you I had COVID. I did not fail to inform you, the shower had broken for the third time we raised the issue and waited for it to be fixed, and in the wait time I contracted COVID which I i formed the contractor as quick as possible, this is a forum for reviews whether you agree or disagree. You should not write in your reply or hint at my profession nor any personal details it is some what a breach.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I am sorry you have not been happy with issues throughout your tenancy. In regards to maintenance issues we are at the mercy of contractors and the last issue you had was during Covid 19. Although we arranged a contractor to attend you failed to mention that you were isolating as you had Covid 19 which meant that the contractor could not attend. As you work in the health service you are aware that it would have been negligent to have allowed any one to attend. In regards to the cleaning you have been sent a very detailed check out report with photos of the issues that were found so whilst you may not be happy with the cleaning this was very clearly needing to be carried out in order to move a new tenant in. We will accept responsibility for issues such as the boiler at the outset of your tenancy as you are aware and mentioned in a previous good review but we have no control how you leave the property and can only deal with what we find at the check out. I am sorry if that seems like we are placing the blame on yourself. I am also sorry I have been out of the office and not able to deal with your calls straight away, our industry is extremely busy at present. You had been made aware that I would finalise your deposit when I had the invoices, which I have chased but the contractor has not sent them although promised to have this sent over this morning.

GoogleNorthwood sold our house recently. Right from the start Victoria took lots of photos and had researched the area well. She knew about transport links to all amenities, local shops and even the schools. We were always kept updated about viewings and their progress. All the staff we dealt with where very helpful and knowledgeable about our sale. Our solicitor worked well with Northwood and the sale went very smoothly considering it was during lockdown. We have already recommended Northwood to other family and friends and I would definitely use Northwood in the future.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleThey didn’t seem to know what they were doing, promised a return call for a property to rent twice and they didn’t call back. The woman who was helping me said it was her day off as an excuse, sorry but does the office close on her day off!? Really poor customer service and didn’t seem to care about their clients.

GoogleBought a house very recently through Northwood and had Leanne helping us throughout. In our case, she had to keep chasing slow solicitors so we could get the sale through before our mortgage offer expired. She was the biggest help! If it wasn't for Northwood/Leanne helping us throughout we could have very easily lost out which would have been devastating.
