Rook Matthews Ponteland staff handled our house sale extremely well and were very professional in their full approach to the transaction.Whilst in the end we did not proceed with the sale this was entirely due to us not being able to find suitable alternative accommodation even though Rook Matthews had found us an extremely patient buyer.It is now our intention to look for another smaller property in a few years when we are a little older and we will have no hesitation in using Rook Matthews Ponteland again.

From the absolute beginning of my house sale journey I have been treated with the upmost respect and nothing was ever a bother. I explained my current situation and the reason why I required such a quick sale and the staff took everything on board and acted promptly. Within 3 days of putting my house up for sale it was sold. I had interest from the very beginning. Michelle and Kate guided me throughout the sale process and we’re very helpful had I needed anything clarified, Dawn also supported as she chased the buyers solicitors on several occasions for answers. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported me along this journey. After using a previous estate agent with no luck I really wouldn’t use anyone else. Yous are all amazing and deserve the absolute world!

Have had a very disappointing experience with the Morpeth branch. Attempted to purchase a property which had a covenant in place. The covenant was not as advertised, the staff telephoned me with information that turned out to be incorrect. At one point they passed the blame to their client, however they are the agent acting on their behalf so surely it should be up to them to make sure all details are correct? As there were covenants in place, both mine and the vendors solicitors were corresponding with each other but Rook Mathew Sayer, seems to interfere a lot. For example telephoning me to tell me the covenant had been lifted when in fact it had not. But this was something my solicitor told me CORRECTLY, after speaking with the vendor’s solicitors. I have been left out of pocket due to the misinformation, and at times, unprofessional service I received from Rook Matthews Sayer. I’mCurrently seeking further advice about costs incurred. As I’ve said I feel very let down by them and would advise against using their services.
Dear Alan, We’re very disappointed to receive your 1* star review and have investigated this with the branch staff further. We have been informed that upon your initial viewing with the manager the covenant was explained to you, additionally it was also advertised correctly in all of our marketing materials. We also checked this with the Business Support team who have also confirmed that it is displayed in all materials correctly.It may be that you have interpreted the covenant incorrectly and we are sorry if this is the case but we have followed all procedures of advertising it and explaining it correctly.Furthermore, you stated that Rook Matthews Sayer telephoned you to say the covenant had been lifted, our Morpeth team called to explain that our client had amended the details of the covenant in order to help yourself and future parties attain a mortgage on a previously ‘unmortgageable’ property. Once again apologies if this was misinterpreted after this was explained to you. The Morpeth team did try to contact you regularly via email and phone for your final decision and our client extended the deadline due to your unresponsiveness. However, ultimately they retracted from the sale as they were unable to contact you. We are sorry that you are feeling let down however, we feel we did everything we could to try and secure the property for you.
