A Breath of Fresh Air

Jackson-Stops went above and beyond my expectations and were a breath of fresh air in this highly competitive business. Mandy in the Cranbrook office was an absolute joy to deal with extremely professional, honest and the most helpful agent I have dealt with over a long period of searching for a new home. Sadly the house we are now trying to purchase is on with another agent who are far below par! I would not hesitate in selling a property through Jackson-Stops in the future. Just wish all estate agents were as pleasurable to deal with!!

Would have been nice to actually view the property!

We sat outside the property for 40 minutes waiting for the agent to show up, which she never did. When we finally got through to the office on the phone the agent who was meant to be showing us the property simply told us she had forgotten about us, with no apology offered - just a 'Can we do it another time, I can't leave the office now anyway.' A complete disregard for our time! Wholly unprofessional, and we aren't surprised that the landlords have been struggling to rent the property if the agent can't actually be bothered to turn up to viewings! We will be avoiding Jackson-Stops like the plague - and would advise any landlords to think twice before using their services!

What a bunch of unprofessional individuals.......cheated out of a purchase by being bamboozled with a £10 thousand pound non refundable fee to open an " offer".....which according to one director was "normal" and Richard Addington as "never had any before....."....AVOID THIS FRANCHISE AT ALL COSTS....

Right from the start the team at Jackson-Stops were friendly and highly professional. Unlike other estate agents all members of the team visited our house so that each viewing would be as good as it could be. We had lots of viewings and the team worked tirelessly to achieve our sale. We had weekly updates and review meetings so we were always kept apprised of the situation. Chris, Lucy , Daryll and Nicki really impressed us when doing viewings, remembering all the features and aspects of our property. Thoroughly professional, friendly and pleasant to deal with. No hard sell when we were looking at properties, and when we found 'the one' they were consistently on the case, and full of helpful advice to drive the purchase through. We often found ourselves asking their advice over our sale rather than the agent we had engaged as they were far more on the ball! If, heaven forbid, we were ever to sell again, we wouldn't hesitate to use Jackson Stops in Dorking, and would happily recommend them to others.

Philip Ribon in the Bridport office is extremely difficult and unpleasant to deal with and we reccomend you use any other estate agency than this one. He writes rude emails when he hasn't followed things up, blames the client and is ineffective in selling houses.

Chris who we dealt with most went over and beyond a number of times to help things go as smoothly and as quickly as he could. When we completed and collected the keys all of the team greeted us in the shop and were very happy for us and even gave us a bottle to celebrate.

Pushy and rude

Apart from being 45 minutes late (they had forgotten about me) to a viewing I had arranged the day before. The follow up phonecall from a lady was awful. She was so pushy and arsey in trying to get me to make an offer, and was really rude when I wouldn’t give her personal details she was asking for. She kept saying she was old fashioned and thinks certain things should be done in a certain way, but if you ask me she should be saying she’s out of date. Complete lack of customer service. I was still keeping the house as an option if we changed our minds, however I have binned the brochure and will definitely not be making an offer thanks to this woman completely putting me off. It just confirmed even further that anything to do with this house is just hassle!
