Impeccable service!

We are close to completion on our new house with Ashberry and have to say the sales assistant Ellena at Melton Mowbray has been AMAZING! We visited site numerous times to see a few different houses and her patience and willingness to help never waned. She has answered every phone call and email promptly and gone above and beyond to make our purchase go smoothly. Its no exaggeration to say she has played a major role in our decision to buy with Ashberry!

Roundhouse Park, Melton Mowbray…

We started our house search journey in March 2023 and looked around so many different houses - pre loved and new builds. One of the first new developments we visited was Roundhouse Park in Melton along with all the other new house sites in Melton and dealing with Ellena was like a breath of fresh air to other sites. She was proactive - actually got out of her chair to help us (some didn’t !), happy to answer any questions we had and took us on site to look at plots without need to make an appointment. We did have several visits to Roundhouse Park over the months and Ellena was always as willing and helpful, my only negative for the sales office was when Ellena was on holiday, the people who were stand-ins had no information or updates which was frustrating as feel that if covering, the people doing so should be up to speed on sales and availability. Due to plot availability and timing, we actually reserved with an alternative builder and felt bad as Ellena was so nice and didn’t want to do her out of a sale. As it happened, two months later, the sale of our house - we decided to wait for one on Roundhouse Park and was delighted to be back with Ashberry Homes into one of the first houses we had seen in 2023, so we went full circle. We had some usual snagging and these so far have been dealt with efficiently by a new site manager, Charlie who is also a pleasure to deal with.

Absolutely fantastic so far!

From the moment we met Danielle in the sales office we knew we'd found the perfect location for our next home. Danielle arranged for us to view a different house style at a Bellway site in Poynton than we'd initially been interested in, we're glad she did because we fell in love with this house style immediately. Throughout the process so far, Danielle has been excellent, helped us choose our additions, and supporting us through the highs and lows of getting the mortgage we needed. Gail who also covers the sales office has been great, keeping us informed of survey visits and where things are up to with the build. We met Mac the site manager twice, once when we reserved to go through the build process and again when we got to go in our home pre plaster stage. We're excited to be exchanging contracts in the next few weeks and hopefully being in our new home by August. Our journey has been great so far, and we've been impressed. The team on The Acadamy are an absolute credit to Ashberry Homes!

Unprofessional and do not care

Initially were great until you tick the box on the NHBC survey. Then expect repairs to be dragged out until they hit the 2 year mark where they can avoid responsibility. Be prepared to chase repairs and do not expect a reply from site managers or from complaints. They prefer you to go to the NHBC. My advice is not to buy unless you enjoy stress and waiting around- all while parting with a lot of money. They are not 5 star builders. In reply to the Ashberry request, if you answered your complaints as quickly as you answered this public forum, there would not be as many issues. As this site shows, the Church View development has damaged the reputation of Ashberry. I am a genuine resident but do not want to disclose my name until the issues have been resolved. Please respond to your outstanding complaints

The homes are lovely - they are 5*! Their follow up care and reporting problems are a concern hence the 2*, its instant push back when contacting customer service, everything has to become a challenge before they send someone round. Its very tiring! Chellaston Fold site.

Let down by shocking customer care team

Probably would have written a much more positive review immediately after moving in, as the sales team and site manager at Church View were all extremely helpful, however just a few months later we were completely forgotten about and ignored by customer care.The back garden of our property was completely uneven with barely any soil when they laid the turf. This was made even worse when they realised the boundary of our plot was in the wrong place and had to move the fence, shed and its base.I was told last spring their landscapers would be coming to fix it, they didn’t. I then contacted customer care in June 2023 - who said they’d speak to site - but I never heard back for weeks and every time I chased them I was either ignored or given excuses. In October 2023 (after 4 months of radio silence from Customer Care) I got an email citing staff absences as the reason for the lack of correspondence. They also said they were waiting for the landscapers report and would get back to me. It’s been 6 months now and I’ve still not heard anything. Never known a customer care team treat their customers with such contempt, abysmal.

This week marks my two year anniversary in my new Ashberry home at Cardington Gate, and the end of my Ashberry new home guarantee period, which now transitions to the NHBC buildmark warranty. I just wanted to call out my positive experiences with the Ashberry customer care team during this period. Minor snags (to be expected with a new build settling in), were dealt with promptly, professionally and without any push back. New Cardington Gate, Exceptional Build Quality and Customer Service

I've now been at my new home since 16th December and could not be happier. Two individuals from Ashberry are definitely worthy of mention and have been nothing short of amazing during the purchase and move in process:Adam (sales) - Adam is a great front man and ambassador for Ashberry Homes. From the very first sales enquiry meeting I knew I was in good hands and warmed to Adam immediately. Adams wonderful demeanour, customer focused service and support during the whole purchase process has been nothing short of exceptional. Chris (Site) - I was introduced to Chris during the pre move in inspection, where Chris gave an enthusiastic and comprehensive inspection of the property in its raw state before any finishing. A further meeting with Chris followed just prior to move in where Chris gave another thorough induction to the property, heating, services, facilities etc. What a great guy who really knows his stuff. It was very apparent that Chris was totally committed to ensuring a quality product. Nothing is too much trouble for him and the post move in support process has so far been seamless. Kudos to Ashberry for the concept of allowing purchasers to view the property pre finish. The build quality, attention to detail and safety protocols put in place are obviously why Ashberry retain their 5 star rating! In summary I am delighted with my new property and would not hesitate to recommend Ashberry Homes to any prospective buyers.Thank you Ashberry!
