Holly was initially looking after the file and later Oliver took over when Holly moved to a different branch. Both were competent and friendly throughout. I also appreciated the fact the file was kept right up to date at all times so that if either were not in the office when I rang with a query another member of staff was able to refer to the file and perhaps help; if not a message was always passed on so that my query could be answered quickly. This kind of efficiency and competency in a busy environment earns my respect. Can certainly recommend.

GoogleAfter 34 years in our property, we weren't looking forward to going through the house selling/buying process but Lisa and the team at Ryder and Dutton really helped to make it almost painless. Sam and Oliver did a great job with the viewings, and then Lisa kept on top of the process, providing a valuable link between estate agents and solicitors, and chasing up when it was needed. WORST ESTATE AGENT IN THE COUNTRY. Absolute shocking Estate Agents. DO NOT USE. They charge the highest fees in the industry and provide the worst service possible. They made an absolute mess of everything, very poor communication and didn’t return my calls or emails. Really struggled to get my fees back as they demanded more and more fees. Will never use again. STAY AWAY FROM RYDER AND DUTTON UNLESS YOU WANT A POOR SHODDY SERVICE AND WANT TO PAY EXTORTIONATE FEES. UPDATE 12 DECEMBER 2024The PRS Property Redress Scheme has now ruled in my favour and awarded me a substantial amount of compensation. Ryder and Dutton cannot charge £150 every time they want to send a contractor out for a quote. Ryder and Dutton cannot charge £185 to change 2 batteries in a smoke alarm. The fees Ryder and Dutton estate agents charge are horrendous and unfair.

As we have said through our many communications you have a duty of care as a landlord to provide a property of good standard and tend to repairs that ensure your tenant is able to enjoy quiet enjoyment of their home. It was a great shame that you were unable to do this and that we needed to then negotiate the early exit of the tenant from the property which we managed to successfully do on your behalf. We wish you the best of luck with whichever agent you decide to market your property with next but would encourage you to consider your responsibilities as a landlord before doing so. Thank you for making us aware that you have put in a claim with the Property Redress Scheme as unfortunately we have not had any communication from them. We are in the process of querying why they have not contacted us in relation to your complaint for us to provide our side of the story. I can see that despite us not being able to put our side of the story across they have found against you and have actually agreed with our stance on your complaint that you raised directly with us previously. This is reflected in the small amount of money that you have been awarded which was awarded to you as communication could have been better in some small areas. As for the figures that you are quoting above, we have not sent contractors to the property to change batteries in a smoke alarm and our contractors do not charge £150.00 to go out and quote so I am unsure how you have arrived at these figures.Best Wishes The Team at Ryder & Dutton

GoogleNot happy with the service at all was looking at purchasing a property took 3 weeks to get a booking. They let us put an offer in, came back asking for more money, then no communication as to what was going on, this was cash only and not mortgageable. We finally questioned what’s going on and there is potentially movement in the house but they didn’t warn us before and wasted our time. The house also had a huge apple tree in the back garden that would need £5-£10k to remove again no details of this anyhwhere in the listing. Was promised call backs and had to constantly chase. This has now put us off using them to purchase a house
