Glad that a third party got involved and listened to our case because we received the outcome we wanted in the end.

An Estate Agent that does what they say!

We have had a great experience with Michael Poole. From start to finish, they have done everything we asked, advice, requests, changes to marketing, extra photos, videos, social media plugs, nothing was too much trouble. Caveat Emptor

I do not understand how this firm is rated 4.8 when 10% of the reviews are 1 star and nearly all are complain about misrepresentation. I HAVE COMPLAINED TO TRUSTPILOT ABOUT THIS BUT HAVE BEEN IGNORED. Estate Agents generally hide behind caveat emptor rules to enable the vendor to hide undesirable aspect of the property for sale. But this the first time (and I have bought and sold many houses in my life time) I have come across a fact stated in a advert that was known to be untrue by the agent. I complained to the Managing director Richard Poole by email and written letter but both were ignored. However copies of these sent to the auctioneer were acted upon. Personally I will avoid this estate agent and recommend others to do so.

I had an appointment to look at a house on October 27th and today I went and half an hour before our meeting they asked me for information about my annual earnings, I sent it and I had already informed them by phone. A week ago I came from a long distance and slept for a total of 4 hours. I paid 29 pounds for the ticket. I took a taxi to Croydon and was about to get there when I got a message saying it was cancelled. I went straight to the office and asked why I cancelled it. They told me straight to my face, I'm lying. They said the landlord gave it to someone else and they had a bit of a sarcastic attitude. They did not inspire any trust. They are people who lack tolerance and respect.

We sold a few properties with Michael Poole and from start to finish had excellent service. Within our area this is the only agents we would use to sell in the future, their hard working teams and decoration is second to none. We were thrilled with the whole process, from meeting them, the photos were of high quality, the property walk through made it easy to explore and understand the lay out of the properties. I would highly recommend Michael Poole to anybody who was looking to Rent , buy or sell a property. I was looking for a suitable rental property for my family, I found many other estate agents would simply not contact me back and one estate agent failed to turn up to a viewing. I came across a very suitable property through Michael Poole. From me viewing the property to me receiving the keys it took a total of two weeks, this is including the extended Easter holidays. The staff at the Middlesbrough Branch were all fantastic, so helpful. They kept me informed of what was happening and what the next step would be. I would highly recommend Michael Poole. I would like to thank all of the staff at the Middlesbrough branch for making such a stressful time of moving house, so much easier.

Huge thank you to Craig and Sophie. Not the best experience due to external problems which had nothing to do with Michael Poole Middlesbrough branch. They kept trying to resolve the fencing and gate issue and everything turned out well at the finish. They are a credit to your company and went over and above to help. Nothing was too much trouble and although I called in branch on weekly basis I always felt welcome and would not hesitate to recommend Michael Poole. Thank you very much Craig and Sophie and also to John who showed us the property on a number of occasions.

Absolutely terrible estate agents, completely unprofessional and a total waste of time. They dragged me along for 8 months, and now they say it might take another 3, 4 months to complete a property purchase. Throughout the process, I kept asking for updates. Every time, they reassured me: “The seller knows what he wants, he’s a cash buyer, everything will move quickly.” After 8, 9 months, their final response was: “We know as much as you know.” Seriously? What exactly have you been doing all this time? I’ve wasted over £2,000 because of their incompetence, more than £1,000 on a survey, nearly £1,000 to cancel with the solicitor, plus over £200 for an electricity certificate. All the while, I repeatedly asked them: “Are you sure this is going ahead? Have you spoken to the seller? Should I spend this money?” Not once did they give me an honest or useful answer. Now, after 9 months, I may have to pull out entirely. And instead of addressing the issue, they got offended when I questioned them, even telling me not to “raise my voice,” when in reality I was only asking direct, serious questions. They behaved more like children than professionals. Avoid at all costs. These estate agents are a complete disaster.

We went with Michael Poole as have previously dealt with them in the past and have family recommendations. They have been so helpful. Roberta has been a calming voice on the end of the phone and when things seemed to be getting quite stressful as house moves can do, David was contactable and on hand to advise and guide on next steps.
