Viewing properties with Darlows has set a standard others in the locality are failing to meet. Iestyn was professional and provided excellent communication in the run up to viewings; confirming via email, sending an SMS reminder and calling on the morning. Iestyn was knowledgeable and involved in showing the homes, but also provided sufficient space for us to take things in by ourselves. Hopefully the purchasing process will be just as efficient and professional!

Edited: As someone who uses reviews a lot to help me to decide about a service, I wouldn't want to give any false impressions based on my more recent experiences with Darlows so have altered my scoring from 5 stars to 3 based on current lack of action/communication. Hope my emails get answered and my inspection gets completed seeing as the last one was done approx. 18 months ago. The experience with Nicole mentioned below was great at the start, but the same service has not been reflected since I was moved over to the property management team. The 5 star review for Nicole was based on excellent customer service over a period of a few months. 12 months into letting my property I had just a couple of email exchanges with a new contact in the property management team and she asked me to write a review about her to help her progression. I did so to help her out but since this point communication/actions seem to have gone downhill. I first started speaking with Nicole from the Merthyr branch of Darlows approximately 6-8 months ago with a view to buying a property and letting it out. Due to the pandemic and restictions, it has took much longer than I had hoped to secure a property, but I have been really grateful of the initial advice Nicole provided me with, and the advice given in relation to properties I have been considering, despite her knowing that I didnt have instant business to give to Darlows. I have found her to provide excellent customer service and she has been amazing in her efficiency and quick responses. I have every confidence in her and look forward to her managing my property.

We received an excellent service from Kara at Darlow's in Merthyr. She was very nice and knowledgeable during our viewing. Kara was sympathetic to our cause as we have to leave our current property ASAP, had another property fall through and were hoping to be considered for the property we viewed. A few days later we've put the holding deposit down and are organising moving. Couldn't be happier. 10/10 for Kara and Darlows!

The 3 star rating is for Darlows themselves as since moving in to the rented accommodation we have had nothing but issues with them. To be honest 3 stars is above what I would give but Hayley Hardy who came to visit us for a routine check was actually lovely and would give her 5 stars if it was only her I was rating. Darlows as a whole need to improve massively on customer service and follow ups as this is where they lack any sort of urgency! It’s been so poor with them I now lease with the landlords themselves and it’s been them who have sorted the issues raised and bypassed Darlows completely. As I said though Hayley was lovely!

I dealt with Louise Pinch with respect to one particular property. She was very professional but also very friendly when we spoke on the phone. She has a fantastic Welsh accent! She was very efficient at providing the information I requested and with arranging the viewing. I was running late for the viewing and she kindly pushed the time back. Sarah Elliott met us at the house when we decided to sell and she was very informative, cheerful and friendly. She explained everything very professionally and to our satisfaction. She also went above and beyond when we had a couple of problems, and being about 170 miles away, which made it difficult for us to sort, Sarah was there sorting for us. She gave 100%.
