Stay clear. I had no hot water in the shower and they refused to fix for 6 months, I moved out with it unfixed. I was flooded majorly twice and they did no repairs at all so the place became mouldy and inhabitable. They lie about inventory and even lied to the deposit protection scheme who thankfully saw right through their lies. They will ignore you once you have moved in and will never do any work as it may cost them some money. They did however charge the apartment above me for the damage done due to flooding but they never used any of that money on fixing the apartment. It is a family run business and rotten to the core. Taking them to court to teach them a lesson. Stay clear of this company!!

GoogleGoodwin Fish provided a disgusting service to me at 156 Chapel st, 23 city gates. When I moved in, they sent me outdated inventory, no cleaning was done, lots of repairs needed and they told me a will be fix as soon as I moved in. Now moving out, they want me to fix and clean what was not done by them when I moved in. Also, they send 2 guys with a dog to change the locks before my move out date. Luckily, I saved all emails and pictures of the apartment when I moved in. Watch out and don’t used Goodwin Fish.

GoogleSuperficial professionalism. You meet Matt and you are given the impression that you are in good hands; sadly you realise later that this is not true. They have tried to overcharge me more than one times . The first time they charged twice the holding agency fees and only when I raised this they corrected the owing amount. The second time was towards the end of my tenancy where they emailed me to claim that I did not paid the residual amount (9 days of tenancy) when in fact I had paid the entire month by mistake. Fortunately they refunded me. They have made a mistake with my meter readings and now the energy company refuses to refund me the credit amount. No matter how many times I have tried to contact them re this issue via phone or email to this day I have not received a reply. And the icing on the cake was the false claims in an attempt to keep money from my deposit. The have a smart system for reporting faults and breakdowns but bottom-line some of them never happen. In the flat I was renting there was water leak from the ceiling every time the weather was bad and when I reported it (more than one times) someone would come over to inspect but no further action was taken. They did not even email to update me with this issue. As a result of this, one piece of my furniture got soaked and destroyed. Since I moved in I asked for some push-pull mechanisms in the kitchen cupboard columns to be replaced because they weren't working and even when I moved out they still broken and NOT replaced. Overall great service unless there is a problem; it then becomes APPAULLING!!!

GoogleHaving just completed the purchase of my first property in Manchester I can't rate Alex and Goodwin Fish highly enough. Given that I met Alex while viewing a completely unrelated property which I was unsuccessful in securing, the fact he had the proactive nature to secure me viewings on other properties and see these through to the purchase of my current property shows that he has sound knowledge of the market and what the customer is looking for. Always helpful and informative at each step of the process which has been incredibly useful as a first time buyer.

Absolutely dreadful letting agent, the worst I’ve ever came across. Refused to replace a stained mattress before I moved in and refused to professionally clean the apartment too before I moved in. Strongly recommend avoiding using them

GoogleRented a property for two years with goodwin fish, nightmare to get responses to issues with maintenance, they do not rush to sort out issues! Major issues occur on check out, this seems to be a money making venture, as they see your deposit like a cash grab, avoid at all costs, since rented with a different agency, non of these issues, really not woth the stress and time, to deal with these pepole, Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!NegativeProfessionalism
