We had no problems with this agency for the first 10 months. We had a few problems with the oven and boiler and they always seemed very professional and answered our requests pretty quickly. A few months ago, Alessandro sent me and my boyfriend an email claiming that we were missing a payment and would have to pay a fee for being late. This was obviously not true as we always pay our rent on time, usually earlier. This was eventually rectified but it took two weeks and a lot of hassling. Alessandro never apologised for his unprofessional behavior and false claims. We’ve recently moved out of our flat and Aysha sent us a check out report that was full of mistakes. We could definitely tell that she didn’t have a look at the initial inventory, trying to charge us for stains and other issues that were in the flat to start with (and were stated in the inventory). Thankfully out landlord was fair and decent and decided not to take any money out of out deposit event thought the agency tried to. It’s shocking how two bad employees can ruin a company’s reputation, I was very happy with Goodwin Fish until my interactions with Aysha and Alessandro. It’s not a bad agency overall but I hope you never have to deal with either of these people.

Excellent agent all round with special credit to Alex. Easy to deal with, friendly staff and efficient service all lead to a smooth, stress free transaction. Even with a couple of issues that came to light during the purchase, that were no fault of the agents, it was a painless process that could have been a nightmare for all parties had it not been for the involvement of Alex and his staff. I would not hesitate to recommend them for purchase or letting and am hoping to use them again in the future.

AS a landlord who took on this company I would advise any other landlord to stay well away. I found Simon Fish to be incompetent and / or dishonest at almost every stage. Most seriously the company was unable to give me sight of a gas safety certificate I had been charged for, for 3 months. I asked many times to see the cert over the months and was either ignored or fobbed off. I was also charged for work that was never completed. Ended up having to inspect the property myself and make an official complaint to get the matters resolved. Simon attempted to charge me £70+ for 'dusting' between tenancies. When I inspected the property I found the waste disposal blocked - it had been missed by the company during their inspection. My suspicion is they were trying to charge me for the unblocking rather than the dusting. I ended up feeling I had to check everything myself to ensure I would avoid liability, double check I wasn't being charged for work that hadn't been completed - just about every detail. It was more stressful than if I had managed the property myself. Do not work with this agent.

My experience with Goodwish Fish and Co was very different to every other experience I have had with estate agents in the past. A number of estate agents came to value my property and they seemed to fall into two camps: over-enthusiastic sales people, or seemingly clueless on how to value and market my property. This was before I met Alex! I was immediately impressed by him - he obviously knows what he is doing and that came across. I found him to be very organised and efficient, but most of all I was struck by how personable he is - he seems to genuinely care for his clients. I will recommend him to anyone that will listen!
