Welcome to an independently-run, independently-minded estate and lettings agency. Ascend was founded on the belief that estate agents could do a lot better. We’d been working in the industry for a long time and were frustrated that most agencies were just so ordinary. Like their houses, these places were in need of a new lick of paint. Bit of rising damp in the basement too. So we decided to build our own home. This new home wasn’t made of sticks or straw. It was founded on a deep-rooted, decade-long knowledge of Manchester, from the very bricks and mortar of the city centre to its outer reaches. By a team of savvy individuals who loved the city and loved helping people invest, move and live in it. A team of quick thinkers and good listeners who did that rare thing: treat customers like people instead of transactions. Because they knew great service wasn’t just about experience and expertise. GoogleMoved into a brand new home, made by Ascend/Simple life. Process to move in was easy, Ascend helped out by registering me for council tax, gas, water, etc. No complaints, hopefully the move out process will be just as good.

GoogleAbsolutely terrible agency! No communication between departments so one is saying they haven’t received your rent but the other one has. Avoid your calls when you ring to speak to someone specific. 5 months to get a deposit back. Never rent from them!

Our apologies that you are not happy with the service offered by our team at Ascend. Our intention is of course to find you the perfect property and make the process as easy as possible. Your viewing was cancelled as the property has been let to another applicant who viewed the property prior to your viewing and secured by paying their holding deposit the day of your viewing. For complete clarity we have detailed the timeline of events below. • 14/11/19 at 09.04am - You were contacted to confirm you would be attending the viewing at 4pm the same day (At this stage the property was still available) • 14/11/19 at 13:53, You were contacted to advise the property had now been let and the viewing needed to be cancelled. We tried to contact you via phone, email and also sent a text message. We always apologise if properties are let and viewings need to be cancelled To be clear on the time line of the property being let we have detailed below. • The other applicants viewed the previous day (13/11/19) • The applicants secured the property 2 hours 15 mins prior to your viewing • We contacted you 2 hours 5 mins before your viewing (10 minutes after the property was secured) to advise the property was now let We have since also tried to contact you however you hung up the phone on our lettings manager. Hopefully you know understand fully the situation and as the review has been left from a company account we are sure you will agree we have acted appropriately and that there are situations within your own business out of your control. GoogleOverall decent agent. Viewings of flats felt quite rushed and some were unclean. We were also shown around one flat with other prospective renters. However, the overall level of service was good and office workers were easy to get hold of via phone.

We are unable to find any contact details under the name of Talith Walker on our system so can only assume you’re not a client of Ascend. All our fees are listed on our website and in branch for complete transparency, they are very much in line with what all other agents charge.
