To start with, we had to do the majority of our viewings ourselves, as they never had anyone available. Then they recommended a buyer, for less than we wanted. Convinced us they were a good buyer, then after the house was off market for two months we found out the buyer was never in a position to proceed. Didn't have stamp duty. Wards are supposed to vet buyers, that's what we pay them for. Would not recommend.

Thank you, Leah Peacock! We had multiple issues with the house we rent out and Leah worked tirelessly on our behalf chasing quotes and organising an electrical refit as well as a new boiler installation. On top of this, we had to have a tree removed, too!! We cannot thank her enough for her patience, good humour and professionalism whilst guiding us through this process. Nothing was ever too much trouble and we really appreciate it.

Having not sold before, I was anxious about the whole process and the stigma attached to estate agents however from the first meeting with Anna at Wards in Walderslade, any pre conceptions were very quickly wiped away. The whole process was fairly straight forward and having the whole team on hand at any point to help was great. Each time you dealt with someone you felt as though they actually knew who you were and treated you with respect and provided honest updates. I found all the staff very helpful and got back to me quickly when I left messages, but the best person for me was Maria Meddings as she acted as a go-between me and the buyers solicitor which made things a lot easier and if it wasn't for her I don't think the completion would have happened. She was very kind, thoughtful and very helpful in everything. Five out five.

GoogleIf I could give Wards of Maidstone 6 stars, I would! Mark and his team have been responsible for the sale of my parents' house and have been excellent from start to finish. They have treated us so well and with warmth and respect. Right from the beginning they have acted promptly, efficiently and professionally to market the property. We had several viewings and the house was sold within 6 weeks. Wards as a company seem to treat their customers as human beings with families and lives, not just buyers and sellers. I have also used them for my own house sale and purchase. I would highly recommend them for both the sale and purchase of property and everything that goes with it. Their liaison with the recommended solicitor has been spot on. They get the job done!

GoogleWe chose to use wards to sell our home after an awful experience with another estate agent, i am annoyed we didn't use wards to begin with. Mark had the property sorted and paperwork signed really quickly and Sarah had sold our house before it even went live on the market, for over asking price. The rest of the process has been simple until it came to exchange and completion where Sarah went above and beyond to ensure things happened when they should have. The communication has been amazing and i have never had an unanswered phone call! Sarah has been amazing and if it wasn't for her and her hard work exchanging contracts may never have happened! GoogleWe sold our house through Wards in autumn 2019 - and they were extremely proactive and did the business quickly and efficiently! Tom listed our property, and immediately got a handle on all our needs and requirements. He was very professional, friendly and trustworthy. We had over 20 viewings in 2 weeks, with Sarah and the sales team ensuring that all relevant applicants view our property as soon as possible. We were delighted when Sarah and Tom were able to negotiate a full asking price offer on our house. I was impressed that Wards were determined to vet all buyers and offers fully, to minimise problems later on. We are now happily settled in our dream home, and we know that our buyers are very pleased in our old home too - which is always good to know! In my view, Wards stand head and shoulders above the competition locally - and I have recommended them to several family and friends.

Avoid this dubious, untrustworthy and awful company at all costs. Wards took an alternative offer to a seller after I had instructed solicitors following acceptance of my offer. I should have known they use dubious tactics after I offered the full guide price and Wards quickly suggested the seller needed more money, despite the fact we were the only offer being considered. Following acceptance of the offer, I was asked by Wards to instruct the solicitors they recommended (they receive a referral fee) at the earliest opportunity. Two days later, Wards called and informed me they had taken another offer to the seller, bypassing our sale agreement and demonstrating a complete lack of integrity. The alternative offer was accepted, the sale fell through and I am currently out of pocket as a result of a desperate clamber to boost a senior managers commission. If you want to sell your home, please use an alternative firm to ensure that your home is being sold by people with a moral compass. If you want to buy a home, please avoid going through Wards, as they simply can’t be trusted.

GoogleOver the moon with wards Maidstone! Thank you to Tom and the team who helped us sell our home so quickly for the price we wanted. We wasted our time with an online agent for 6 months, which we thought would have been the easiest thing to do, but you really do get what you pay for. Having lost faith and thinking we was never going to move, we were contacted by Wards on several occasions promising us they would sell our home. They really did over achieve and I cannot thank them enough! We have now moved in to our new home and could not be happier. We will certainly use Wards again in the future.
