GoogleI would strongly recommend avoiding renting a property through Wards at their Maidstone branch. Despite several promises that the property my partner and I were interested in would be ready, they proceeded to lie, give false reassurances and blame anyone but themselves for the fact that they had not carried out simple checks to ensure the property would be habitable by the scheduled move in date. They clearly deemed it appropriate to wait until the afternoon of the rescheduled move in day to notify us that the property was still not ready, a completely unacceptable way to treat people. If they had the common decency to inform us in good time that we were not able to move in, then we would have made the necessary arrangements for alternative accommodation. As you can imagine this caused us great distress as well as a financial cost. No apologies, no understanding and no professionalism. They were quick to take our money for the first month’s rent and deposit for a property that was not ready but slow to refund us the money when we requested it and their ineptitude meant we had nowhere to live.
