GoogleWe purchased our house through Gascoigne Halman Macclesfield and could not fault the service. Huge thank you especially to Georgia who was simply amazing throughout. She kept everything moving along, continuously chased Solicitors, pushed for updates and kept us thoroughly informed throughout the process. Georgia's hard work helped secure our move in time for Christmas - we are over the moon and would highly recommend this team.

GoogleI recently sold my house through Gascoigne Halman Macclesfield office. From putting my home on the market to completion Angela Payne handling the sale and Gemma arranging the mortgage both went over and above the expected . I was kept informed at every stage of the sale with phone calls and emails and all my requests were follow through. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

GoogleI have nothing negative to say about buying with this agent. Friendly but business like, always updating me regularly. Particular mention to Georgia Day who has worked there for 4 years. She pushed for information weekly and then rang me with the result. I feel she is now a friend who helped me through the whole process and I would definitely recommend this company.

GoogleCannot be trusted. The vendor had told them the property I was buying had Knotweed but they didn't tell me until after I'd instructed solicitors. I lost some of my solicitors deposit when I then pulled out.

We were delighted with Gascoigne Halman’s service, when buying a property through them. They always went over and above. In fact I think our purchase might have fallen through but they kept it all on the rails. We will sell our house with them if we ever move. Dominic is fantastic. He always knew everything about the chain, and did loads to keep it all moving forward.

Very disappointed with customer service. Found the staff to be really unhelpful. As a cash buyer had been keen to purchase a property for my daughter and disappointed to learn the property we had secured was taken off the market. Tried to found out why and if there were any other similar properties available through the branch and got absoutley no help from them. Sent a polite message to the manager with honest feedback and requested that he give me a quick call to discuss - 2 weeks later and havent heard back from him. Will now never use Gasgoigne Halman again and recomend other agents who have a little more time and respect for their customers

GoogleDespite having a strong presence we found GH to be very weak. Our estate agent was part time and when she wasn’t in the office nothing would happen. We ended up communicating with the chain ourselves, our sellers estate agent was amazing and by the end of the process they were the ones to receive a thank you gift. The final week of a large chain was very eventful, however as our agent was off GH were nowhere to be seen. Phone calls requesting updates were not returned and the other agents and solicitors did all the work. We did however. Receive an invoice for the full amount the day after completion. We would not recommend GH.

We at Gascoigne Halman pride ourselves on a very personal service and are obviously always disappointed if our service falls somewhere short of expectations, we are not in the business of upsetting people as we very much rely on repeat business time after time. In any line of business it is always disappointing if sometimes we are not able to speak with someone we have been dealing with for a while but it does happen now and again. We have a dedicated team of negotiators always on hand to deal with any situation that may arise and when we are alerted to any problems in a sale particularly where there is a chain involved we are keen to help where we can, besides we want the sale to go through as much as the buyers and sellers involved. Our understanding of this situation was that there was an issue further up the chain, not our buyer or seller but beyond our control, but had we been asked for our help (we were not) then of course we would have readily given it as we had done all the way through the sale and up until that point. The sale was chased on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning to see if it had exchanged to be told there was an issue further up the chain and for us not to chase it as it was in hand and that it was in the process of being sorted by the solicitors further up the chain, however we do sincerely apologise if it is felt we could have done more.’ We wish you all the best for the future and do hope we can be of service to you in the future.’

GoogleI had a representative from this company who was the most awful man totally outstayed his welcome bearing in mind we are in the middle of a Covid 19 crisis! Thought he would never leave waffles on about a nothing for an hour before offering the information required price to be expected and commission rates. Traipsed over my carpet in shoes and said I can take them off if you want me too!!!! Mmmmh filled new with confidence for when he shows people round if he got the opportunity which he won’t. Be aware covid is on your shoes 👞. Looks professional but let me tell you looks can be deceiving.NegativeProfessionalism

“All of our managers and staff attend appointments with masks gloves and overshoes although the majority of clients prefer us not to use the PPE and are happy to simply social distance. The majority of people we visit require a thorough appraisal of their property before entering into a significant financial commitment. Often a general discussion can put people at ease to ask the questions on their mind. We would never wish a client to feel that we have insufficient time to do our job properly. We are sorry that on this occasion this is not what was required.”
