I would advise prospective tenants not to rent via this letting agent - they are, in my opinion, unprofessional, uncaring and borderline rude. I handed the keys to our flat back and had to call them multiple times to try to get my deposit returned, having left it in a very clean condition and MUCH cleaner than when we moved in! Eventually after getting fobbed off every day I called their accounts company - not part of William H Brown - and spoke to an extremely helpful lady. There had been a catalogue of errors, from the person releasing the funds not being authorised to do so, to the Manager then authorising but emailing the release to the wrong address, to the amount on the release being incorrect!! And what's worse, when you speak to them they just couldn't care less! It's taken 26 days to get my deposit back - and it wouldve been longer without the help of the accounts company! I will NEVER use this William H Brown again.

I’ve recently used Tyler at the branch and I cannot express how much he really helped with finding the right mortgage for us, providing advice and just being at the end of the phone when ever needed, nothing was too much trouble and I don’t think I could of got through the sale, purchase and move without his help! Thank you for everything Tyler! Also the lads in the branch are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them either. Highly recommend!

Anyone who’s looking to sell with William H Brown - steer clear. Before we signed the contract, it was all positive. We spoke about all these ideas and things they would do to try and secure a sale. We had promises of lots of investors and cash buyers who are on their books who would be contacted. Nothing ever came of it once we were tied into a contract. They didn’t even give us an update on ‘all these investors’ and why suddenly these all disappeared into thin air. We had NO update at all. We were meant to have a weekly catch up call, which never happened. The only time we had calls were to ask about the progress of the renovations on our end - nothing about their progress at all. We were completely in the dark about everything they were doing to try and sell the house - which was NOTHING. They got us ONE viewer and even they were lied to about the house, as they thought the house was completely different, which was a waste of everyone’s time. I travelled a 6 hour round trip and paid out expenses to clean the house ready for the viewing which lasted all of 2 minutes. The least they could do was make sure the potential buyer knew the basic details of the house. If this was done, they would have known straightaway that the viewer was looking for something completely different. I’ve since spoken with a few other sellers who have had awful experiences with them. I’ve also spoken with other local estate agents who have said the same. It was a complete waste of time as they never achieved anything. The lack of updates on their end prove that they were doing nothing, as they simply had nothing to tell us. When we gave our notice to leave, we received a threatening call. One of the team called to say that we owe them thousands as we are in breach of our contract - which we weren’t at all! We asked for a call from the manager, where it was clarified that we handled everything as we should have. I don’t appreciate the threats when all we did was give our notice!!

Booking was fine but when we got to the land the agent had no idea where the boundary was gor the land for sale or infact which parcel of land was for sale. I asked for the land registry docs which showed the land and clearly said it wasn't to be for commercial purposes. I'd stated I was looking for commercial land. Pointless visit and waste if time. Feedback given via email to agent and completion of their feedback form but got a phone call asking for feedback a week later. No apology and clearly don't read any documents before they sell so who knows if they will actually sell the right plot. Not impressed.

I am very happy with the way Sam Ellis was assisting to my wife and I, in looking for property in Lowestoft. Highly professional, very very friendly and working very closely with us. After we contacted the office, he immediately call me and get all details about our needs, and very soon after he approached with the offer which was just perfect.
