Have just been dismissed out of hand as a potential tenant because I was subject to a debt relief order a few years ago. I have over £100000 in the bank and was prepared to pay a year in advance cash. Surely my money is as good as the next man’s? And shouldn’t the landlord be given the chance to take my money? Am considering complaining on the grounds of discrimination. Am very angry right now - I just want a fresh start for my family, in particular my disabled son only recently out of two years hospitalisation - we’ve been through a lot and I have just been blessed with an opportunity to live somewhere decent for once but the estate agents, in general, are unfriendly, hardly ever phone you back and now this. This trade need to sort themselves out.
