Shocking and diabolical treatment from the letting agent who did house visits. Young professional, house was kept in immaculate condition. She would ring me up at work and leave messages on my voicemail, screaming and shouting at me to 'open this door now! I demand it". On returning her call the agent office would explain it was her error and that no visit had been scheduled for me. No apology. As a teacher it is impossible to take the day off for a home visit, so I arranged for my mother to be there for a scheduled appointment. On answering the door the letting agent said to her 'who the hell are you?'. So rude, and so unprofessional. I decided to leave and thankfully bought my own property. Have never felt so third rate as when I rented. To top it off the agents expected me to let strangers view the property whilst I was on my own at night. I had no idea who they were. Felt very unsafe and vulnerable and the agent simply said she had vetted them. How? No young woman should be put in that situation on her own.needless to say I was out as fast as I could and will never recommend this agent to anyone. Awful experience.

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Asked to view a house and gave availability and details on our position. Was then emailed asking for availability and details on our position…which we’d already given! I replied, as I really wanted to see the house, and got an out of office saying they were away for a week. So I forwarded the thread to the main office account. I then had to chase because after two days, no one replied to me. I was then emailed again asking for availability and explanation of my current position! Which I’d already given twice. Absolutely shocking customer services. Never did view the house, as we’ve put an offer in elsewhere and it was taking too long to arrange anything, just couldn’t get anymore. I feel for the vendor, as the house was really suitable for us and we may have made different decisions in what to buy, had we actually managers to arrange a viewing!

Poor, poor service!!

We have used John German twice and this is definitely the last time. We gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time, but not again. We sold the house within a few weeks and we thought great! JG booked viewings, we had 3 no shows, at weekends too, a woman that didn’t want to live in this area and other carpet treaders! When the house sold, it took 6 months to complete! JG kept telling us they couldn’t contact the other estate agents in the chain, which I find a little hard to believe! We had very little correspondence from JG (uttoxeter branch) and we were doing all the chasing! We feel JG work mostly for the purchaser, but it’s the seller paying them!!! The so called sales negotiator wouldn’t return my calls, in fact, once she was at her desk, then miraculously disappeared! I’m still waiting for that return call! Then any correspondence from her was always sent to our solicitor and she would cc me in the email! I would’ve liked to have been contacted, not find out what was happening with OUR house, through an email to our solicitor! Poor, poor service!!! When we finally completed, after threatening to withdraw, the sales negotiators were only interested in handing the keys to the purchaser! Everyone around us commented on how long this house took, to go through and this reflected on JG! No recommendations from us!

Superb experience selling our house in Loughborough through these recently; professional, friendly, prompt responses and super helpful every step of the way. We arranged for separate photos through a local independent photographer, recommended by them, but they did provide a superb 360 photo portfolio for our house listing. All viewings were followed up on and feedback provided to us and when we entered the best and final stage of our sale, this was all handled excellently and fairly. Competitively priced rate and dedicated staff to handle each stage of the process, we highly recommend them to sell through. As sellers, we were very conscious to choose an agent that we knew would also offer the best customer experience. Having ourselves been looking and viewing many properties for a long time, we got a good idea of the 'good' and the 'bad' ones. Surprisingly, a lot of other agents in the area we found lacked basic customer service, for example either not getting back to enquiries to book viewings or taking too long to do so (time being a critical factor this past year with how the market has been). John German were always incredibly responsive and helpful, so naturally we wanted to go with them when we sold as we knew when we did find our buyer, we had the best chance of that buyer being actively communicated with!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
