Great guidance, at a difficult time.

Cannot commend Ahmet and his team from Winkworths enough. I felt I needed speed because of the rise in taxes on 2nd home sales, and the then upcoming EU referendum. Ahmet's advice and guidance were perfect: We completed 1 day before the vote to leave the EU, at what looks like the peak of the market, and with no onward chain, so we are in a strong position to buy in any downturn. After having 20 viewings with no offers, Ahmet advised us to drop the price aggressively to get ahead of a market already showing signs of slowing by mid-March 2016. I would not have done that on my own. We did as he said, got a buyer, and sold at the perfect time (completing 1 day before the vote to leave the EU!) at a good price. A better quality house on sale in our street at the same price did not take his advice, and left Winkworths with their property offered at £35,000 more than ours. When I last looked, their house was on offer at a price LOWER than we actually achieved, and £15,000 lower than we had it on offer. Then it was sold STC, but of course with no guarantee the buyer will stick to that if they have not exchanged, given the shock referendum result. Also, an astonishing amount of comparable houses are now being offered at auction. That was not the case a few weeks ago. Around 80% of the houses are on offer at prices lower than ours completed at, despite ours needing a lot of work. Great result. Well done to Ahmet and his team.

Very happy with the service from Marcelle and the Palmers Green office as a whole. My wife and I had been looking for some time in Palmers Green and Marcelle patiently showed us round a number of houses. She went the extra mile to show us a property twice on the same day, and even spent an hour with us in the house we eventually purchased so we could have a proper look around. Marcelle is a brilliant Agent, I was selling & purchasing a property which is a little bit harder to do, the property I was purchasing had a set time scale to be completed & the developer I was purchasing from was very pushy & at times very challenging. We first meet Ahmet when he came to give us a market valuation of our property. Both my wife and I felt immediately that he had all the qualities we wanted in an estate agent to take the large responsibility of selling our family home. Ahmet was obviously very professional and keenly aware of the market we would be trying to appeal to. He answered all our questions and concerns thoughtfully and filled us with confidence in being able to portray our property in a honest and appealing manor. We left him in control of the marketing and open day as we went on holiday for a week. During this week he kept us updated throughout and we had agreed an offer by the time we returned! I have sold four houses in London over the years and can say without a doubt that Ahmet and the team at Winkworth N13 were outstanding at every step of the way and carry out there duties with the utmost professionalism. The service was professional and friendly. Leila, Ahmet and John were hard working on our behalf. The property was difficult to sell, being a flat above shops, and the first offer fell through because of mortgage difficulties, but they kept their efforts up and brought in more viewers. The price was slightly lower than the original asking price, but still higher than we were originally expecting. In short: they did a difficult job without fuss and with a lot of perseverance. Highly recommended.

John was the agent we dealt with while buying our property. He was always professional and especially good at keeping us updated with the current status in the remainder of the chain. But the main benefit he brought to the whole process was the effort he put in to supporting and progressing the sale of our property even though Winkworth's were not our selling agents. While the agents we were using were incredibly slow to react to issues, John was proactively chasing every delay and frankly without the pressure he exerted we probably wouldn't have exchanged yet!!

I found Mr Ahmet Hussein extremely courteous during all the visits I made to the flat that I wanted to buy. Contacting and arranging visits was no trouble for him. I know he represented the interests of the vendor but I also felt that he did everything he could to give me the best chance of being the purchaser. It is with great pleasure for me to write this review to provide my feedback on the service I have received from Winkworth, Palmers Green during my very recent purchase of a property through them. Having dealt with many estate agents over many years both here in London and in Sydney, I have come to the conclusion that quite simply Ahmet Hussein your sales manager is above and beyond all the rest of them by a clear mile. It is quite obvious because of the great amount of time and effort he has put into the ongoing contract negotiations which has spanned close to 11 months to get to completion. With regards to my property purchase, Ahmet has continued to have clear and good communication between the vendor, vendor's solicitor as well as with myself and my solicitor. He has seamlessly brought together what I would describe as a very difficult ongoing sale due to the nature of the leases of the property. This lengthy process I believe has been held together by his great skill in keeping everybody up-to-date and keeping both sides happy by being knowledgeable with all the facts. So it goes without saying that his professionalism, dedication and persistence have brought everything to a satisfactory conclusion for everyone concerned. I whole heartedly cannot praise him highly enough for the effort and time he has put into this transaction over the past 10 months. I believe Ahmet is one of a kind and a real privilege to deal with. You would be hard-pressed to find another estate agent with such calibre, honesty and integrity like Ahmet and he is a real credit to Winkworth. Ahmet, Leila and Nick sold a flat in N13 in August for us and a house in N21 in January. On both occasions the properties went under offer within days of being on the market. The brochures were very professional as were the photographer. Leila took the lead on our flat sale and Ahmet on our house sale. They managed to obtain over the asking price on one and full asking price on the other. Both sales were difficult at times, but Ahmet and Leila took the lead in all negotiations and really shielded us as much as possible from the pressure and demands of vendors. On both occasions the sales went through within 3 months and Ahmet and Leila could not have been more helpful, answering phone messages (although it was very rare not to be able to speak to them straight away) as soon as they came back to the office. I cannot recommend Winkworths Palmers Green highly enough. They made 2 moves in 6 months as stressless as is possible and I will miss our daily conversations.

My Winkworth story began in early May 2013 when, after comparing them with other agents, I decided to appoint them to take on the sale of my house in Winchmore Hill. It is of course a potentially fraught business selling a house and I had lived at my current address for 27 years so, with a deep breath, I took the plunge and trusted Ahmet, the negotiator who took me through the initial process and awaited results. True to his assurances every step of the way, every viewing, every feedback, was effortlessly communicated to me and at no time did I feel unsupported. There were, in fact, plenty of viewings, each one with that breathless possibility that this might be the purchaser. It did feel like quite a long saga but in fact the sale was finally agreed a little over three months later and although at times it had felt like a long time, it really wasn\'t. Leila and Ahmet have been the negotiators who patiently showed potential buyers round the house - again and again - and their relief must have been at least equal to mine when the sale happened. The support continued well into that next period of behind-the-scenes activity and at no time did I feel as if I was on my own. On the contrary I felt like one of the Winkworth family as the legal side gradually wormed its way to the conclusion more or less six months later. So, all I can say, is thank you to everyone in the Palmers Green Winkworth branch

Selling your house particularly during a pandemic and a looming stamp duty expiry date is not a relaxing stress free experience. But I would wholeheartedly recommend Winkworth Palmers Green. From the professional photos of my property and the very friendly Ahmed who came first. But the whole process was made smooth By the work rate and persistence of one man Herman. Every email and call was answered promptly. My remit to him was to get this over the line before the stamp duty deadline expired.
