I would like to say a big thank you to Conrad and Sibel whilst using Winkworth in Shepherds Bush. Conrad was brilliant in arranging our viewing and keeping us up to date with our offers to rent a property whilst liaising with us and the landlady. I would like to thank Sibel for keeping us updated with our referencing and further requests after we had completed our right to rent. Everything has been extremely efficient which is a nice difference from who we rented through before. Would highly recommend as Winkworth have nullified the usual stress of finding a property. Keep up the great work! :)

Our experience with Winkworth Shepherds Bush has been by far the best experience we’ve ever had with estate agents! We were tenants with Winkworth Shepherds Bush for just over 2 years and during that time we had a fantastic experience dealing with the team! Our Property Manager Cristina was amazing, she was very responsive and we never had to wait more than a day to have engineers/workmen visit when required. I wouldn’t recommend these guys to my worst enemy. They knowingly put me in a flat with black mould and a psychopathic landlord. Sibel deliberately ignored messages from me requesting my deposit back and Daisy was extremely pushy and rude about viewings and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. And their receptionist is a piece of work. Just awful!

We have been tenants through Winkworth for 11 months. They have easily been the best agency that either me or my partner have used, starting with the initial keys-and-contracts stuff and continuing throughout our tenancy, in large part thanks to Cristina's friendly and dedicated support. She has always been available (or let us know who to contact in her rare absences), and always come back to us promptly no matter how big or small the issues we've raised! Any problems with the flat itself have been dealt with swiftly, and in a helpful (and cheerful!) manner.

Despite our landlady selling up and us not having too much time to vacate the premises, Cristina made our move extremely easy and did everything she could to make it run as smoothly as possible. Winkworth - A Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish UPDATE SINCE INITIAL REVIEW: Following the end of my tenancy, Winkworth have now deducted the cost of a professional clean from my deposit, citing dust as the primary reason for this. The property has been sat empty for six weeks before the check-out report was conducted, yet I’m still being held responsible for the dusty condition. When I queried this, I was told I remained liable until the official tenancy end date and could have re-entered the property at any time, despite the team knowing I was vacating at the end of June and leaving my keys behind, with no communication from them about the formal check-out procedure or what to do with the keys. They also attempted to charge me for two items that were already reported and investigated during my tenancy, one dating back to January, neither of which were ever resolved. Once again, dealing with Winkworth feels like banging my head against a brick wall. Emails are skim-read at best, accountability is non-existent, and responses are vague and poorly worded. They excel at making the process so frustrating that the easiest option is simply to give up. I was offered the chance to raise a claim with TDS, but I declined, I just want to be done with this experience., My tenancy with Winkworth was marred by poor communication, repeated mismanagement, and a lack of professionalism throughout. From the outset, basic standards of service were not met. During my tenancy: • I was repeatedly contacted while abroad despite clearly stating my availability and time zone, and granting access with keys. • I received emails about renewing my tenancy while I was actively pursuing early termination. • I was contacted regarding gas safety inspections for a property that was already vacant. • Staff emails often lacked professionalism and consistency, leaving me uncertain about who to communicate with due to constant changes in property managers. • I had to verify viewing agents via Winkworth’s website to confirm legitimacy, as communication around viewings was inconsistent or missing altogether. • A communal lighting issue went unresolved until I used my professional email to escalate it, only then did I witness resolution, without any follow-up from Winkworth. • My oven broke near the end of my tenancy and this was met with silence and multiple ignored follow-ups, making resolution unnecessarily difficult. One of the final straws was being publicly blamed by a Winkworth representative, in front of both my partner and prospective tenants, for the property not being vacant, despite Winkworth’s own oversight. This kind of behaviour doesn’t just lack professionalism, it actively undermines confidence in the agency. Even post-tenancy, communication only resumed after I escalated the matter to Client Relations. It’s a shame, because with basic care and responsibility, much of this could have been avoided. I wouldn’t recommend Winkworth to anyone looking for clarity, respect, or reliable property management.

We recently sold our flat in Shepherds Bush through Winkworth, having also bought through them in 2015 and the service was excellent. Whilst personnel changed during the sale, which we appreciate can happen, and we had to therefore work with different sales managers, we were very appreciative to be offered a reduced commission for the inconvenience, whilst the service continued to be very good. Excellent communication on email and telephone with regular updates. We sold in a tough market and didn’t quite get the price we wanted, but Winkworth always seemed to have the very best intentions for us as sellers.
