I came to the old oak collective this week to be given a tour by Abdo Dada. He was so helpful despite me being late and him having a very busy schedule he found time to answer any questions I had. He showed me around all the different features of the collective and ran me thoroughly through the T&Cs.

I enquired about staying at The Collective Old Oak earlier this year. The sales agent was Robbie and he was really helpful from the start. The building has co-working spaces and other amenities, as well as events and a community feel. I ended up finding another flat through a friend but when it comes time to look for somewhere to live again I will be sure to contact The Collective and Robbie!

This place was new and exciting when it first opened but nothing has changed in 8 years! The coffee shop has closed and the bar/restaurant has lost its vibe, needs to be looked after more please...

I absolutely love my experience living here. The room's are spacious and reasonably priced. The services are great with free wifi, a shared kitchen space and cleaning provided bi-monthly. The agent Abdo Dada who arranged the room for me, has also been a pleasure working with as he has always been helpful with any questions that I have.

Moved out on the 30th Nov at the end of our agreement and still haven't received our deposit back despite promising it will be returned in 20 working days. Phone calls and emails are being ignored.

Staff members are the best. I was moving here from Spain and Abdo from the sales team helped a lot, always quick to reply and take actions, which made the entire onboarding process fast and simple.

A friendly place to live with your own front door and privacy as well as new friends on tap too! Does it get any better than this? Everything you need is available on site - we have a canal - cinema room - spa & sauna - shared kitchens for when your own kitchenette doesn’t quite cut it! Gym - shop - games room - restaurant & bar - cafe - launderette. For busy people who work a lot or new people to London a wonderful way to meet interesting people from all over the world to make friends with - get collaboration for your business or talent - or start a business with. All this and your WiFi & cleaning for one monthly payment - as well as staff paid to look after you and greet you at the end of a hard working day What’s not to love?

The location: industrial area, very noisy even on the weekends (at least a few hours in the morning). In addition, as a woman, I didn't dare to come back very late, I only stayed in the city until 9 p.m. because it was summer and the day was long. Room: very small, I'm small and I just fit in the shower. In my first week, my neighbor didn't pay any attention to me and prepared her lunch for the next day after midnight at 1am or 2am. And that even though we have to be considerate of our neighbors between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. I very kindly asked her to prepare her food before 11 p.m. because unfortunately she wakes me up and it wasn't easy for me to go back to sleep, if I sleep at all! Without success, she still made noise. Unfortunately, the employees didn't really respond to my complaint. My main need to simply sleep for a few hours in peace was not fulfilled. And that was bad for me, especially when the price for the mini room or cabin is so high. 2 stars because the building has large and, in my opinion, beautiful and creative common areas. The kitchens are also equipped with dishes and pots. Large launderette, iron available. Supermarket can be reached in 2 minutes. But sleeping, especially in the hot summer of 2018, was catastrophic for me personally.

I move to the collective old oak back 2016 and I have sign my therd year contract . I found The Collective Old Oak to be a wonderful place to be. The MANAGEMENTS and STAFF are really lovely and friendly ,they always been caring about the residents from the minutes they move in , I’ve been at the collective nearly 3 years so if i wasn’t satisfied i could move out ages ago . that’s what makes the difference to your time there. They always there for you ,and Always listening for anything you need and also there’s is always something new going on . I definitely recommended if there 15 stars option I will absolutely pout 20 star :) Good luck and thanks again for the collective team

My girlfriend rented at the Collective for a year and while there are some perks, generally the whole experience was horrendous. I'll start with the good points first - the location has pretty good transport links, it's a 10min walk to North Acton and there is a 24 hour bus service which runs regularly. The other is the restaurant downstairs, the food and service is great (perhaps a little overpriced) and they can also deliver directly to the rooms. It didn't really come as a surprise to me when I later found out that the restaurant was not part of Collective and run by someone completely different. I could never understand why the restaurant was run so well but the Collective seemed to be run so poorly - this explains why. Now onto the not so good. The area is an absolute dump, very unsafe with a high rate of knife crime. I wouldn't advise anyone to walk home from the station or along the canal path late at night. The security is very laid back at the entrance. Although you need a key card to get in, the people working at reception are too busy gossiping to notice anything out of the ordinary going on. That brings me onto the reception/lobby area. Overall it seems quite well presented, some thought has gone into the decor and it's a nice shared space. Unfortunately this is completely let down by the massively unprofessional reception staff. They are for the most part completely disinterested in the residents, it's very clicky so they will speak to come people and completely ignore others. I think they think they're running a 6th Form common room as opposed to rental appartments (apartment is a bit to generous if I'm honest). There are two lifts, in my experience nearly one is always out of service so you might be better off taking the stairs...hopefully you aren't on one of the top floors. Most of the rooms have a tiny shared kitchen area, it is basic at best so don't expect to be cooking anything complicated. As the kitchen is shared you better hope you are sharing with someone considerate and tidy, in my experience this isn't the case and you won't find your efforts reciprocated. The room is incredibly small, barely enough for 1 person let alone 2. The bathroom is like a portaloo, you have to keep the door open to bend down. I've seen dog kennels that are bigger. I think my biggest gripe is around the cost per month vs what you actually get in return. For 1200/month I wouldn't expect the hot water to be unavailable for 2 whole days, nor the Internet being out for 5 days. Their response to the latter being to provide username and passwords belonging to other residents... Or failing that, to contact the service provider directly, as they clearly couldn't find the time in their busy schedule... Which in my experience consists of sitting in the restaurant ordering gin and tonics. For those people that deem the Collective to be a safe and secure place, I’d just like to draw your attention to the email that was sent to residents regarding the sexual assault that took place in the ground floor toilets which just happen to be right next to the lifts and reception. Clearly the ever vigilant reception would have seen this....or not. In summary save your Β£1200 per month and spend it in a crack den because the service will probably be better, you’ll almost certainly get better value for money and no doubt you’ll come away satisfied with your purchase.

I have loved living at The Collective! It has been a great experience and something I would recommend it to any young professionals who are moving to the city! It is safe, nice feeling to the building! There are many facilities in the building such as Gym, Spa, Cinema, Restaurants, Bar etc! You will never be bored as there are plenty of events! The only thing I would say is the price is slightly high and the rooms are small but for what you get, it is worth it to try and also meet some lovely people!

Worst place to live. Too many issues happening all the time and they don’t really communicate with you. However they really like to take all your money. They made my experience in London unbearable. I absolutely wish this could shut down!

I moved to The Collective back in August 2017 thinking I had bagged me a fully serviced accommodation. What I got was 10x more; a transformational experience. The Collective's plethora of weekly activities, warm and genuine staff, resources and sense of community gave me the inspiration and courage to slay my fears and pursue my dreams of becoming a business owner. The Collective continues to support me in my journey as an entrepreneur and owner of Mind Medication Limited. The Collective is more than a co-living experience, it's where dreams come true!

I've lived at The Collective in a one of their average rooms for 9 months. To be fair, my experience living there has had its ups and downs. Area The area is terrible - the building is located in an industrial area in West London, there's literally nothing to do there and you need to walk or take the bus to North Acton/Willesden Junction. Again, in my opinion, the area is not precisely safe, but if you've just settled into London, trust me, you won't find anything cheaper. The Room Your room (I don't know about studios), is not designed for you to stay there for the entire day, just to sleep. The rooms are extremely small, I can't stress it enough. The kitchen in the twudios are suffocating; there are no windows to ventilate! If you're the kind of person who loves to socialise with people and likes hanging around, then The Collective is your place. From my experience, unless you don't fully embed the culture, you won't enjoy the experience living at The Collective; there are social events every single day and lots of people who you can talk to. There's a gym and groceries shop (super expensive) in the building. The laundry room is a pain, there are like 7 washing machines, and another 7 driers for 500 people! Generally, it's been an experience that I will remember.

If you are going to move to London, or you would like to find a new place to live, the Collective is what you need. I moved in this amazing co-living a few months ago, and I feel that this experience is unique. A place where every day you can choose wonderful activities (yoga, brunch, English classes, seminars etc), where you can easily meet a lot of new friends, where you feel safety night and day as you were living in a hotel, and where the staff is always ready to help you and to make you feel at home!
