The most incompetent and deceitful estate agents I have encountered in years of renting. Would leave serious problems unattended for weeks and often months at a time. My wife and I had to email and call dozens of times to keep things moving. Please note that these were not trivial issues - we were left for 9 weeks without a flushing toilet for example. We even found out that they had charged our landlord for a fix that had never taken place (replacing an extractor fan). Additionally they attempted to reclaim virtually our entire deposit despite leaving the flat in the same condition in which we found it (as evidenced in entry and exit reports). The items they were attempting to claim for were nonsensical, they lied about having relevant evidence of damage and receipts for repairs they claimed to have completed were never forthcoming. 8 months after leaving the flat our deposit was returned by the deposit scheme as the deposit scheme adjudicator ruled in our favour on all counts. However my wife and I will never reclaim the hours and the annoyance incurred in having to argue with Storeys’ employees. These employees would refuse to answer emails properly instead opting for phone calls; presumably to avoid committing lies to email. Any landlords reading this - please do not inflict these people onto your tenants. Any tenants reading this - keep solid records (write up call minutes and email) and I hope you have better luck than we did.

A very stressful last minute move was made so much easier by the team at Storeys! We found ourselves looking for a short term let at short notice, not just any short term let but one that would accept our little dog. From the first call to Storeys to moving into our perfect solution five days later these guys couldn't have been more professional and helpful. Storey's are the best I've come across in East London! I had other agents who were struggling to let my property during the COVID situation and things were getting quite stressful. Then I contacted Storey's and they moved really fast, made some suggestions and communicated really well. All was much better than the other agents. I originally had an unfortunate experience with Storey's, where there was miscommunication between the property manager & Storey's that led to my flat being dirty/unfit when I was moving in. The communication generally during the post-offer process with Julie could have been improved. However, Andy went above and beyond to determine what went wrong and make amends. I appreciate the level of customer service and do think that Storey's is a solid group that cares about their customers.
