Excellent! I needed to get a valuation from a local independent agent who I felt had a good knowledge of the market and who would give a true reflection of the market and local property values. For context, I've had experience of agents in the past over-valuing properties to get a sale listing - not helpful or in the seller's or potential buyer's interests. Sam went above and beyond. He coordinated with my letting agent, arrived at the agreed time, took photos, wrote a detailed assessment and explained his valuation. I couldn't have asked for more. So good to deal with a smaller local agency. They will definitely get my business when it comes time to list for sale.

Review made at the end of tenancy, the experience with the agency has been quite negative. No communication was given after multiple times asking to let the tenants know when maintenance people would be coming, leading to some awkward and inconvenient situations. The broadband was not provided as advertised on rightmove, and when asking for the first few weeks of the tenancy we only got the response of "look for it" and "it's there somewhere". In the the tenants had to install and setup a broadband contract for ourselves. The property landlord decided to charge cleaning fees from the deposit, despite the room being clean on exiting the property. Biggest concern is the agency has no idea what is going on with the property at any time, and make little effort to hear your concerns.

I recently sold my flat through Dan at Storeys and couldn't be more impressed. Having met a raft of uninspiring agents in London, Dan was a breath of fresh air. He instinctively gets two key things that set him apart : one is how to actually sell, how to be proactive, engaging and truly relationship driven. The second thing is the amount of support and humour that is required to transact property in London where the whole process can be arduous at best. I had no problems with Storeys until after I moved out. After moving out of the property I rented from them in 2021, they refused to return my security deposit for 10 months despite repeated attempts to contact them. The entire process was extremely frustrating and time-consuming, and it was disappointing to have to resort to TDS directly in order to retrieve my deposit back. However, after the situation was made aware to Storeys since posting my review, Max was very friendly and helpful in understanding our situation.
