They are absolutely terrible letting agents from a tenant's point of view. They don't respond to email, claim to have carried out repairs when none have happened -- and take ages just to do that. The only way to make progress is to go in in person and ask. Avoid them.

Shaws Kensington is by far the best agency to contact if you are looking to rent around Barons Court. They specialise in the area, so they have a better idea than most about what it can offer. The agent I was in touch with, Jack, was always very responsive, professional and helpful, as well as upfront and honest, which in my experience are rare qualities in an agent. He somehow managed to make the otherwise stressful experience of moving seem pleasant; many thanks for the help!

I’ve let my property through Shaws for years. They are always friendly and positive, as well as thorough and fair (give or take a few times when I’ve had to push). They have always found good, suitable tenants for my property and this time they worked very hard indeed to find a tenant quickly. Shaws don’t manage the property for me, they just find the tenants and collect the rent, but they are generous with advice and help just the same. Their knowledge of the area is second to none and you can trust their advice.

We used Shaws as our letting agents for over 5 years. I think that they are better than most letting agents, but their screening of potential tenants did not always prove to be optimal. On 2 occasions we had difficult tenants who caused significant damage to our property. We found these situations tricky to resolve amicably and Shaws did not seem to act in our best interest. There are also several employees at the Shaws Kensington office that deal with different aspects of the letting process and it was difficult to know who to deal with when specific issues arose. Shaws were, however, very good at keeping us informed of maintenance and repairs that were necessary.

The most appalling estate agents ever

The most appalling estate agents I have ever dealt with In relation to management of flats for their landlords they have no regard for others.They refused to believe that THEIR tenants had caused water damage to the flat below and had the audacity to ask for evidence!Most disreputable and dishonest.Furthermore as an agent they have the nasty habit of charging 15per cent commission on any repairs or maintainance WITHOUT making this transparent.In short a rather grubby outfit owned and run by someone with different morals and run in a dishonest and disengeuous manner....a West Kensington estate agency to be avoided at all costs.
