TrustpilotThey try to get money out of you beside rent
They try to get money out of you in any way through their nonsensical policies! It's trash experience with them, if you see this before the contract I suggest you avoid any further contact with these people. When signing the contract I figured out that they were charging me extra 400 pounds, they did the math wrong..maybe.. They want to check your room every month. After one of their check they sent me an email saying that they found my ensuite toilet dirty, and if I won't keep it clean they would have it professionally cleaned and charge me. I'm not a messy person at all. One day, the radiator started leaking and they ask the maintenance guy to report the potential cause as it was my fault! They charged me 150 pounds for a copy of the keys that I got stolen with my bag. When I handed over the room they tried to find every possible way to charge me. On the final, bill, I found a wrong charge of 200 that they recognised as error. I think they were just trying to steal, I wouldn't be surprised

GoogleSorry to say but I had a horrible experience with Rubicon. We tried to rent a flat with my partner, and put an offer down on a place which got accepted, and verbally agreed, but the tenancy agreement wasn't signed even weeks (!)later. Every time we asked, we didn't get a direct answer. As our moving day was only 4 days away, we asked again, and they came back with an answer, that the landlord wants to negotiate, increase the price. We felt our back is against the wall, and we have to take it, otherwise we possibly have no home to move into. They caused us several stressed days, and in the end we had no place to go, as we decided we stay at the previous agreement and not willing to increase the price. We were very unhappy with our agent in the end, because, the communication was struggling the whole time, she wasn't clear with us on details. She said something on the phone, and another thing on the email, which was very confusing, and felt unprofessional. We had to remind her to send the emails to both of us, as we are renting together and we both want to be updated, however its not only, that she didn't cc me, all the email I have sent to her, she never got back to me, never answered, or completed my request, which I think is extremely rude. I wish I read the reviews before, but honestly I didn't think this could happen at all. We payed 6 months rent upfront, and when we wanted to get our money back, we emailed our agent twice and(after 24 hrs with no answer) called her in the office, but then she wasn't available.... We asked for the manager immediately, and he was the only positive experience of all, he dealt with our request immediately, and the money was back in our account within an hour. Unfortunately, we are still very disappointed, and frustrated....:(

GoogleI've recently dealt with Rubicon regarding my property search and all in all it has been such a breeze. They were very quick to respond to any queries I had and were quick to resolve them. Another beneficial thing is their property management is 24 hours which can be very useful as a tenant with any late night issues. I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and colleagues in the future. Job well done!
