GoogleAlthough it may be curious to say as someone who encountered Portico as a buyer, I would thoroughly recommend their services if you are looking for an agent to handle the sale of your property. Gabriel, in particular, was impressive throughout the process and worked extremely hard (or at least harder than I've experienced an agent work before) to neogotaite a good price for the sellers, and then to move both parties toward completion in spite of what were very difficult circumstances. They are an excellent team of professionals.

GoogleUnbelievably poor service in every way. It's really amazing and flabbergasting how bad the Portico 'service' is. I was a tenant for ten years (luckily not anymore) with them as a management company. Portico were utterly awful in every way: service, communication (both amongst themselves and with us), organization, competence, basic courtesy, turnover, often intelligence. This organization must have ENTIRELY the wrong leadership and training. (Even when we were looking to buy a flat, their listing did not show a floor plan, and the agent took over THREE WEEKS to get back to our email that expressed interest in viewing a flat?! I could fill a book with examples of how poor Portico is. I wish even one person they had seemed like they were professional. I cannot wish them upon anyone. Do be warned! This "award-winning" nonsense is obviously rigged in some way. They do deserve a reward for Utter Ineptness, I suppose.

Googlethis is by far one of the worst agencies I have ever rented a flat from. overpriced, they didnt give me information on things about the flat, which cost me more money, they didnt tend to my maintenance issues and respond to me for about a month. I had toilet water all over my floor and they didnt even bother themselves to abide by the terms of the contract to fix this issue. I ended up paying for it and they still have not reimbursed me. they are so rude and accusatory... I've never in my life come across such a terrible agency... please do not rent from them, trust me - if i could give them negative 5000 stars i would, not even exaggerating. these people wasted my time and money - its been 1 month and they still havnt given my deposit - the charged me 2 and a half months of rent, and i found out this is illegal in london, they are allowed to charge 1 month or so. - not to mention, i had the apartment professionally cleaned and they just happened to "FEEL" like it wasnt clean ennough and charged me another 150pounds for another cleaning - they are unprofessional theives. i'd rather be homeless then do any sort of busniess venture with these sick people again

GoogleHumiliating, stressful and cold. Our 11 month lease was ruined by Portico's appalling property management team, in particular the cluelessly obnoxious Jake Hardy. The kitchen flooded twice, the washing machine would mix drain water with our clothes, the shower could only channel cold water, the kitchen light broke, our belongings were stolen during the initial professional clean - but suffering their hateful customer service was most painful of all. Despite frequent complaints, Portico's hearts just weren't capable of empathy, on any level. "Help out our tenants or continue screwing them over?" For Portico this was no moral dilemma, this was just another day at the office and the answer required no introspective consideration: screw them over, every time! The flat's problems went unresolved for weeks, even months. Leaving us in the dark, the cold and the miserable. At the end of our stay, we thought that was it. We're free at last! We can look for a new property, rented by estate agents who understand respect and customer service. But alas, Portico weren't finished with us. "Their backs are finally turned. Time for the daggers!" Nearly half our deposit was taken for arbitrary causes: ranging from £300 carpet stains to massively overpriced lampshades, blocked drains that preceded our stay to bills for professional cleans we had already carried out. Portico had robbed us naked. It was a character-building experience. I regret it deeply but there's little we can do now. On the bright side: we'll never have to speak to Jake again! I only hope that reading this review will keep you away from making the same mistake we made. There are lots of estate agents in London: choose one with a soul.

GoogleMy friend and I needed a flat in London while doing our masters at UCL. We wanted a flat near UCL in a nice area, 2 bedrooms, a lounge, and a general modern and good quality flat. Portico helped us find just that, and when I ended up being in a car accident and thus had to delay the whole signing process, our agent at Portico was very understanding and showed sympathy towards our situation. I also really like how quick the employees at Portico are at replying to e-mails, phone calls, etc., and they all seem to be very organized with their procedures. Furthermore, everything so far has been completely transparent with respect to fees and other payments, which I really appreciate. So overall: lovely flats, quick replies, and good service.

GoogleWe used Portico to sell a flat in Queen Alexandra Mansions. This flat had been owned by my brother who had died and the process, therefore was difficult for us. Lucy Adamson at Portico managed the sale. She kept us informed about progress, of course as you should expect from any estate agent but she went beyond the normal service. Lucy organised practical aspects that were difficult for us to manage and developed a trusting relationship. She deserves this top class review.

GoogleMike and Lucy we're great during the whole sale process. I met a lot of estate agents in advance and they were the most personable and I had the most trust in their ability. They worked quickly and efficiently to find a buyer, accommodating the needs of my tenants during the viewing process, who had a new baby. They were human and helpful when things went slowly, and helped me to feel in control throughout the lengthy conveyancing process. Thanks!

GoogleAdam Pearce (Senior Lettings Consultant of PORTICO) helped us with several properties viewing on Thursday. We are very happy with the service. He is very nice, positive and professional. He provided various of options. He asked our opinions frequently and quickly find out our requirements. I remember that sentence “Based on today’s viewing, I know exactly what you like”. What impressed us most is his problem solving skill. I love one of the property but have some small issue with rent period. I almost give up. But Adam tried his best and provide one solution which we both like. It is a good experience with PORTICO.

GoogleAfter the holidays, my husband and I decided that we should arrange a more spacious and comfortable flat. We need more space to receive our relatives who come to visit us on holidays. We resorted again to the services of Portico and the lovely state agent Shoun Cherian and as expected he was the most attentive, showed us several properties gave us time to think and choose the apartment that we liked the most. As always the patient Shoun gave us all the help to relocate all the payment services of concil tax, gas, electricity. We are very happy for my husband and I to respect and dedicate ourselves to Portico. Thank you for another year of our partnership.

GoogleWe were looking for an investment property to purchase, arranged a viewing with this agent on Saturday a week in advance. A day before the viewing the agent tried to cancel our viewing - when I expressed my dissatisfaction, somehow their diary can fit us in again! Anyway, we went for viewing when agent was late, was specialising in letting not sales, and the other agent who supposedly prepared the brochures printed the wrong flat information... it was quite poor quality. After the viewing, I started receiving funny personal messages from the sales agent who is apparently supposed to “look after the sale” - clearly messages meant for her friends on a Saturday which is frankly just embarrassing and highly unprofessional. Despite the experience, we tried to make an offer on one of the flats viewed, the agent was rude throughout the process, making wild assumptions about me and my partner’s personal situations and overall just irritating and uncomfortable to deal with. They hold no grasp of the market, challenge our personal views and get argumentative for no reason. We eventually withdrew offer and went with another agent on another flat purchase. In my limited experience with property investments in the last three years, they are of rather poor quality and I would think twice about using them if I were the seller as it is a bad experience as a buyer. I don’t want to be too harsh to name the agent but she should not be pursuing this profession where interpersonal skills are essential. [Update: this email (see photo) is sent to me after we withdrawn and said we do not want to be communicated again! The tone and condescension of the email should simply attract complaints!]
