I’ve been very impressed with the service provided by Catalyst, right from my initial enquiry through to after sales care. It was clear from the start that this is an organisation that puts their customers first. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been very pleasant and helpful, especially Alison Letts who explained everything very thoroughly and was always responsive when I had questions or concerns. Communication has generally been really good and the exchange and completion process was certainly made easier by Catalyst. I’m very satisfied with my new home and I feel reassured that if there are any actions to follow up (as there are with any new build, no matter how minor), Catalyst will provide the aftercare support required.

Great service

Ellis Cruise was my Estate agent and I felt like I was definitely in good hands. My case unfortunately went on for months longer than anticipated due to lockdown etc, but having Ellis a phone call away gave me peace of mind as he was never out of reach, always quick to respond, very patient/accommodating and very very helpful... even on his days off! As mentioned above he is very patient (sometimes for the both of us!); I’d hit a few hiccups along the way, and wasn’t getting as fast a response as I would have hoped so from the solicitors/brokers/lenders, but Ellis was always ready to jump in and chase things on my behalf and he got results every time. As frustratingly long as this process was, Ellis and his team definitely gave me some peace of mind and reassurance and I wasn’t as stressed as I would have been otherwise. I’m extremely grateful to him and everyone else I dealt with at catalyst (Jamie and Daniel who‘d carried out my welcome call after completion and is incredibly knowledgable and very helpful as well). He definitely turned a daunting, frustrating and stressful process around into a good one. An unbelievable experience of…

An unbelievable experience of purchasing a new home that I never want to go through again. I would have scored it one star had we not fell in love with then house and location. Whilst Sales Manager was great, the treatment or lack of from above was very disappointing. It took too long to complete Jan-Aug, even taking in consideration COVID impact, the house was not snag free although the delays we experienced were because works were being done, that never were...Still waiting for dates for these to be completed but no communication, yet...Thank you for your response, who is Lee?I have sent a letter last month and still waiting for a response...

The first time...

As a first time buyer, you alwasy go into such a difficult undertaking with a clenched fist. The sales team from Catalyst was amazing enough to guide us through the process. They linked us to solicitors and credit assessors, and basically made the entire process and easy as possible. We literally had nothing to do, except give documents, sign them, send them back and aswer a few phone calls. The after-sales team is also very prompt. Sometimes there may be some snags, as with any other company, but that is expected. When their errs have been pointed out, they are quick to apologise and right the wrong, I guess that is what you want in a company. The property is amazing and we enjoy every day in it. We didn't have too many experiences with companies such as Catalyst, but I can say that our experience was pleasant enough to recommend them highly.

Hi Everyone We just bought 3 bedroom house from Catalyst at Rutherford Fields in Leighton Buzzard , and after 2 month i have to say that it was the greatest thing that could happend to us . Personel from Catalyst was always helpful for us every time we have ask for help . Really friendly and helpful staff who support you every step of the way from sales to aftercare. Flats are a beautiful finish. Had never considered shared ownership before and have been really pleased with the whole process. Any small issues at the start on site were dealt with quickly. More written communication on finance and billing would have been appreciated but there were unusual delays in processing due to Covid 19. Highly recommend Catalyst if you are a first time buyer.

Liddell Way, Rutherford Fields, Leighton Buzzard.On a positive note, the house design and location are lovely and the specification is fantastic.Unfortunately lots more negative than positive, we exchanged contracts in Aug 2019, promised October 2019 completion, eventually got completion in May 2020.There has been a massive lack of communication from senior Catalyst managers, the local sales staff were ok and fed us information as it became available regarding delays, what they were told. Senior managers never responded to emails until the near completion, change of spec without letting us know-Ensuite bathroom showed a double shower cubicle, got in the house and its a small half circular shower cubicle for a slim person, - Lovely fireplace opening and large brick built a chimney, when we asked is their gas to the fireplace opening they hurriedly bricked up the 4 no Curtiss houses fire places without any notice, sales staff just said that Catalyst don't do fireplaces! and the fireplace just got plastered over.We have moved in a road without tarmac and large holes, construction site builders using peoples drives to park heavy machinery. We have just sent in our first snag list, many of the items have been flagged up by us ages ago, still not done.NHBC wouldn't sign off the house due to incorrect downlights installed on the ground floor so these needed changing before completion.Hopefully, the snags will get done soon but haven't had a response yet.Lovely location and houses but a very disappointing experience with Catalyst and their contractors.

House meant to be ready in September…

House meant to be ready in September 2019. Didn’t move in until March 2020. Catalyst gave me a weeks notice to exchange after me waiting months and months for this to happen. I needed to get paperwork from myself and my sister from our solicitor and then back within 5 working days which was nearly impossible else our purchase would have been withdrawn. There was zero sway on extending this a couple of days even though we’d waited 4 months past the date you’d told us we’d be in by. This pressure to exchange (7 months after I paid the deposit) was awful on top of the fact myself and my two children had been living on my parents lounge floor for 5 months. Communication was very poor and nearly everyone I spoke to have a different excuse as to the huge completion delay. The house itself is lovely but there are many snags still needing fixing and we are living without street lights, play areas are incomplete, road surface still not laid, diggers going up and and the road make the house shake on a daily basis. The only bonus is that my experience was better than my neighbours who didn’t get to complete until May!

We are currently in the process of selling our flat. We are presently at the stage of receiving the management pack. We have been waiting for the pack for 4 months and are not getting any closer to obtaining said document.We have sent numerous emails highlighting the importance of the pack. My wife and I are now in fear of our seller withdrawing as its nearing our sellers expected date of completion. Peabody do not reply to emails, neither do they provide any assistance or updates. We are at a loss of what to do or who to contact. We are in desperate and urgent need of assistance!
