Brilliant service always. The advert is easy to place online and is still there ready to edit when that tenant moves so you can easily increase the rental price and add more photos. My tenant gave me notice on Thursday evening I placed the advert on Friday afternoon and let it to the first of 4 who enquired on Saturday .

I have used OpenRent three times when looking to rent my properties. I find it much more involving than using a traditional letting Agent. It provides greater control of the whole process and ensures you can select the tenant you like most from the application. Although not absolutely perfect and can be difficult to navigate when used infrequently, the system offers a better experience (in my opinion) to that of working with traditional agents.I will continue to use OpenRent going forward as it suites my way of working.

The contract between landlord and openrent is to advertise property for 3 months. Openrent was cheating, they pause advertising after 100 applicants which is one month or so.

Open rent I would never recommend to anyone! It’s filled with time wasting landlords that never respond or that when they do it’s already agreed or when they say they will contact you for a viewing they never do! The platform and users are just dire! Never ever! Just deleted my account! Good luck

Was recommended to use Open Rent by a friend who had rented through them and I was so pleased I did. The website leads you through the process in a clear and concise manner and explains every decision. When I needed further clarification, I called Open Rent and they answered quickly and I spoke to a real life person who answered my query! Wow! Old fashioned customer service! A private landlord-tenant relationship and even more so, a landlord - prospective tenant relationship is one that is based on a fundamental value = mutual 'dis'trust. I've been an owner and a tenant and often BOTH at the same time, in various countries, and I can safely say based on my personal experience of both ways of living, that having a human being intervening between these two parties who have no love or trust between them, rather than a button to be clicked, is far more reliable.I've given them a 4 rating only because the only single experience I've had with Open rent did get me a viewing quickly, while agents are notoriously hard to contact and respond. But as a prospective tenant, the benefits stop there. Of course, as a landlord, the situation is reversed.We saw a certain property in the afternoon and even before we had time to think about it, we got another message saying that the owner has informed OpenRent that the property is rented out. The landlord had kept a window open that afternoon, and we arrived early, only to be told that we were already the 7th people seeing the property... in 1 hour. He was almost boasting about it to our face! This has so far not been the case with regular agents who are, if nothing else, at least discreet!The market is decidedly in favour of landlords. OpenRent, by bringing dozens of people to the landlord's doorstep within a short span of time, makes it even more so. The use of an open sharing technology platform shifts the advantage heavily in the landlords' favour.Based on the reviews, I see what I had always expected to see - the landlords love OpenRent, tenants not so much.. Landlords love that they can quickly get dozens of tenants and viewings within a short time, and for the same reason, getting through a successful tenancy application for a prospective tenant through OpenRent is virtually impossible, for the same reason.. Because OpenRent exposes a property to everybody, in a very short time, any one potential renter's chances of getting through are like winning a lottery. The owner, getting a much wider field to pick and choose from, can also reject potential tenants on the slightest of whims.. and besides there a much wider field of tenants lining up outside his property to choose from, rather than from human agents.Naturally, the owners love that heady ego-trip this feeling of superiority over dozens of potential tenants hoping to get into their property gives them, while a huge number of tenants end up feeling like rejected material, within a very short period of time.With an agent there is a person who will help you through this situation, sometimes practically, or at least, psychologically. With a software platform, there's none.My first experience with Open Rent will assuredly be my last.

Used Openrent for the first time to rent a property after a friends recommendation. Very impressed with the outcome. They provide all the necessary tools you need to rent smoothly from start to finish all from their website/app. Our property had approx 60 viewing applicants within first 2 days and a suitable tenant was found within 1 week, whilst saving on agents fees which would have added up to about £2k for the first year.Highly recommended and will certainly be using them in the future.

When the tax system has ruined the landlord business model, and the government causes mortgage rates to skyrocket, Open Rent represents very necessary outstanding value for landlords if you want to do it all yourself - £29 to advertise and doing the pictures, paperwork and viewings myself saved me £3715 in estate agents' fees (let only) for a flat that rents itself and no refresh fee next year for doing precisely nothing. A lot less time and hassle than dealing with agents (based on 15 years of dealing with agents). Advertised late on Friday night, viewings Saturday, Sunday, Monday, lease agreed over asking Tuesday with two lawyer tenants who start on Saturday. If you want it done right, do it yourself (it really is not rocket science) but Open Rent offers other services if you are not confident with them. Excellent and now a necessity. Booked a Landlord Gas Safety Certificate,which I needed quite urgently.Showed a lead time of next day service but when I’d paid,first appointment,was seven days later.Waited in all day and no show from engineer,with no way to contact them.Contacted Open Rent directly but offered little tangible help.AVOID!!!

I've been using Openrent now for a few years to find tenants. The service is efficient, website easy to use and generally a good experience every time. Finding a tenant using their reference check service is a must for me and gives you peace of mind knowing that your chosen tenant can afford to pay the rent and has no negative history for you to worry about.They take care of everything from vetting, tenancy agreememts and more if you want it. You have the choice to have a little or as much as you can afford in terms of the services on offer to landlords.

The process was simple and straightforward! You will only need an account to start the process on any device with Internet. The only thing I would like to point out would be the way messages are organised automatically. It was a bit complicated to find certain messages. But overall it's a pretty good service and pretty free too! Although due to different regulations, the one stop Rent Now package for landlord is not available in Scotland. But you can do referencing for each tenant which includes credit check and referencing with employer and previous landlord.

What a contrast and just so disappointing. 1st engineer excellent = 5 stars: bought Gas Safety inspection... contacted quickly - accommodated our working single-mum tenant: FAB!. Then, sadly engineer contracts Covid referring the job to another engineer. New engineer contacts me with the same date to do the job... then it all went down hill. Correspondence very poor - no replies - tenant still has no idea when the GS is going to be completed and the certificate runs out next week. I've kept a trail of all messaging - today contacting customer services receiving a standard reply, then a sincere sorry contacting another engineer. When complaining I could choose an emotion - I chose 'Angry' on behalf of our tenant. Then all change and going back up hill - CS quickly contacted our 3rd engineer who responded v quickly and a new date has been set... he has done everything he can to accommodate our tenant. So, back up to an overall 4 stars! Thank you CS :-)

Great response to the advert , used the filters and automated responses to sort through applications. Let in 2 Days . Personally don’t use the rent now service as we have a preferred supplier for references and contracts. Still 10 times better 10 times cheaper than High Street Agents .

This service was really speedy- it helped us to respectfully decline a prospective tenant.It may have saved us a fortune and a lot of stress in the long term.I expected it to take 5 days for the comprehensive service but was back in 2 with the fail and 1 with the tenant that we chose.For £20 it would be foolish not to check every tenant.

As a landlord my experience with OpenRent has been nothing but positive with all aspects of their services and there have been complications and unusual matters to attend to along the way and I've just received this comment from my prospective tenant "OpenRent make this pretty simple, I can see why you use them". Much prefer letting via OpenRent than using an estate agent and that's considering the whole package, not just the outrageous estate agents fees - had previously been charged a £650 fee to let the same property that I've just let through OpenRent for £49 plus £20 for referencing. Seems to work for landlord and tenant.
