We rented for several years with Olivers. They very poor and we've rented in London for years. Wouldn't ever use them again. They promote Kentish Town as a haven for professionals. It's not. Ask the locals.They really dont care about tenants. We had so many of the same problems others mention here because there is no action to do repairs,even serious ones and we had to wait a long time for things that caused us a lot of inconvenience. In the end we had to pay for a locksmith because we didn't have a front door lock that actually worked and they didn't act because said it was us that had damaged. They said they'd charge us for most repairs in fact. Which should have been done by a even a mediocre landlord. So we recognise all of the negative comments others have made. The sooner no fault eviction laws are passed the better. We also found 2 of the male agents to be aggressive and made a point of recording all calls and interactions.

I used Olivers Town to rent a property in the area. I found them (especially Rodney) to be helpful for information and they were able to produce a tenant for the property quickly. We did not use their tenant in the end as their offer came slightly after another offer which had already been accepted, however I will not hesitate to use Olivers Town in future and recommend them if you are looking for tenants in the area.

Really awful experience as renters

Really awful experience as renters. Serious disrepair which meant couldn't use a bedroom for months and they still haven't refunded rent despite it ending up with serious problems for us. We now know from previous tenants what they were like - wish we'd known before. Don't respond to multiple emails always claiming the landlord wasn't getting back to them. Felt very intimidated by certain staff who kept inferring if we didn't like the flat we could move because it's so easy for landlords to rent out in this area. We're really pleased to have stopped renting through them. Renters beware - ask if there are any disrepair issues affecting properties. If we'd known we wouldn't have moved in.

I would give zero if I could. Terrible experience with Oliver's Town. Held our deposit for 3 months and tried to claim over half of it (£1.2k) We ended up having to use TDS to get it back. Tried to get us to pay for faulty items which were already faulty when we started our tenancy. We had a broken lock for a month after trying to get in touch many times. Broken shower, furniture was in awful condition when we moved in and the property wasn't even clean. Blinds were broken and no one came to fix. Ignored all of our calls and messages regarding the deposit. Stay away from this agency!

Rodney was very quick to get us into the flat, so quick that when I entered the property after collecting my keys, the previous tenant was still in there cleaning! Clearly who has keys and who has access to the property when is an ongoing issue with this agent, as when we went to the property on our last day of tenancy to finish moving out and cleaning, the locks had been changed and the landlord claimed that the agent had returned the keys to them already. The landlord then tried to charge us for the locksmith, cleaning of the flat and the removal of our belongings. The landlord changing the locks prevented us from completing the cleaning and removal! Rodney has been somewhat evasive in helping us clear this up, citing client confidentiality. We simply asked for a timeline of events to clarify to the landlord that he entered the property without our prior consent. The landlord refuses to answer any direct questions also, when I feel like a simple email from Rodney could potentially make him see sense. The fact that Oliver's Town continues to work with a landlord who flagrantly avoids his legal responsibilites and evades direct requests for information is quite frankly worrying. Strongly suggest avoiding this estate agent for lettings.

Came across this agency and Mina was like super dedicated. She made sure we were comfortable in the viewing and then she was exceptionally quick in sorting us with the papers. Something I thought would take ages took Mina just a few hours. I’m so glad me and my partner didn’t have to go thru the hassle of finding a place and dealing with sassy agencies. Highly recommend .
