More recently they've helped secure the sale of our property, expertly guiding us through what was an extremely stressful and complex sale. We literally couldn't have managed our sale without Oakwood! There were complications with various parties and at the most difficult stages Jay was there with a reassuring ear to talk to and went above and beyond his role to sort problems, offer advice and chase things up with various people. You see these adverts for agents like Purple Bricks etc and to me these seem crazy compared to the service that Oakwood provided - so personable, so easy to contact, so proactive, so helpful - thank you!

I personally dealt with Jay from start to finish with the sale of my house in Stoke Newington. Having never sold a property before I found Jay, Andrew and the rest of the Oakwood team absolutely fantastic!! The team were a vital and reliable part of selling the property. During the rather extended process of buying our first flat, Andy was the model of professionalism. Stung after a previous sale fell through and the estate agents involved behaved very badly, we found that the candour and decency of the entire team at Oakwood shone through immediately. Although it was clear that Andy worked primarily for the vendors, he always conducted himself very fairly and transparently with us too. They really are the very fairest and balanced estate agents we have come across, and set the standard for what everyone should be able to expect.

I cannot recommend Oakwood enough, having used them in 2008 to first buy, then let out and eventually sell my place in Stoke Newington. Their expertise, client service, honesty, friendliness and personal attention to your specific needs have been nothing but outstanding. In particular Jay has made all three processes as easy as possible, kept me informed and was always willing to go the extra mile to find out the answers to the questions I had. If I ever moved back into the area, I know exactly who I would phone first. I have used Oakwood for all my property needs. I have purchased and sold with them. The team is always polite, friendly, professional and transparent. I have used other agents in the area, but they all seem to be typically 'estate agency' salesman. I have never found this with Oakwood. Jay in particular is always a pleasure to deal with and has always provided straight forward professional advice and I have found he has a great balance of acting fairly for both buyers and sellers.

We have just bought a house with Oakwood - and have been really impressed from start to finish.For a range of reasons the process has been quite difficult but we were very well supported and advised by Andy and Jamie. What was most impressive was how well they advocated for the people we were buying from when things were difficult , whilst still being very fair and transparent with us. I bought my flat in Clapton through Oakwood 4 years ago, and had no hesitation in returning to them when it was time for us to sell it. We really appreciated the friendly and personal service, and rapid responses to all of our queries, at every stage of the process. Andy gave us a prompt and accurate initial valuation and we were impressed with Oakwood's effective marketing and considered approach to coordinating viewings. They were also exceptionally patient and good-humoured when dealing with delays from our solicitors. We felt very well informed by Oakwood throughout, and they helped to take a considerable amount of stress out of the process thanks to their efficiency! They are a very knowledgeable team and really took time to listen to our requirements, whilst balancing these with what was practical. I cannot recommend Andy, Jamie and the rest of the team highly enough, and would certainly look to use Oakwood again if we returned to the area.

I have had a long association with Oakwood Estate Agents - they managed my flat for me for over 7 years, then recently handled the sale for me, so I've worked with them on both the lettings and sales side. They are true local specialists, they know Stoke Newington & its property market inside out. Claire is fantastic on the lettings side, handling any issues that arose with the flat promptly and efficiently - also finding us great tenants every time. A huge thank you to Jay and the rest of the team who helped with our first ever property purchase. Having lost a previous purchase prior to exchange with another agent our first experience with London estate agents was not a positive one. We'd had prior experience of Oakwood when first looking to buy in N16 and thought they were great. While the property we eventually bought wasn't through them, the good experience we'd had was enough to tell us that they would be the right people to sell with when we decided to. We weren't wrong. Andy and his team handled what turned out to be a complex sale with the utmost professionalism. We ended up with well over 30 viewings within the couple of weeks that the property was on the market and the team were great at keeping us up to date on feedback. We also knew that we could call them whenever we needed clear and rational advice on either side of our transaction. The personalised service made a huge difference and I can't thank them highly enough for the huge amount of effort they put in. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending them to anyone looking to buy, sell or rent in the area.
