GoogleI bought my flat through Oakwood in 2011, rented it out through them for years after moving, and sold the flat through them in 2024. There’s a pocket of Stamford Hill where only Oakwood gets listings, and they get sales and tenants too. Very friendly people and the property management service is very good. No hesitations in recommending them to others looking to buy, sell or rent in the area!

GoogleSuch a great estate agents. Always been on hand to support us as tenants over the last2 years and were really accommodating when the place was up for sale and they were arranging viewings. They always put us first as tenants. If you want an estate agents that don't need to charm you with bs and false promises then these are the ones. GoogleI have just sold my 2 bed flat (Allen Road N16) through Oakwood Estate Agents in Church Street N16. I bought the flat through them about 7 years ago and found Oakwood really good to deal with so I decided to sell through them this time. The team at Church Street were really great to deal with and in particular sales directorJay Niyazi. I have popped in virtually every few months over the last few years trying to decide whether to sell or not and Jay has always been patient and willing to chat about the market and what's going on. I finally decided to sell asap after Covid lockdown was eased a few months ago Jay and the team managed everything brilliantly: - about 32 viewing booked in first day on market - sold for full asking after 15 or so viewings in first few days - sale handled really well and issues dealt with quickly I have sold about 7 properties over the last 25 years in London, Wales and Devon and Oakwoods have been really outstanding. They were always great to deal with and made the flat sale (at this difficult time) as easy as possible. Thank you Oakwood - will always recommend you totally.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleWe'd been trying to sell our flat for some time and hadn't had much success with another local estate agent, so we put it on with Oakwood. We struggled still to get viewings/offers on the flat (a largeish one bed in the middle of Stoke Newington) and Jay suggested we cut the price further. We then found a buyer and agreed a sale. Fast forward 3-4 months and unfortunately we then lost our buyer because they lost their buyer (ie chain issues....). Jay and Daniel put the flat back on the market quickly and we immediately had two offers, one of which was a cash buyer who we went with in the end. Both Jay and Daniel were very helpful and responsive in steering us through some extremely nervous moments. Ideally everything would have taken far less time than it did - and we felt in the early days there were perhaps more that could have been done to promote the flat - but we got there in the end and because of the speed of the eventual sale managed to hold onto our own onward purchase.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

We've had a couple of changes in tenants, and Oakwood have always found great candidates, who not only enjoy living in the flat, but also take good care of it. Letting out a property while living abroad can be tricky, but with Clare and the team, I know the tenants are in good hands and everything is taken care of. We decided to sell as the property market was allowed to reopen in June and Phil and Daniel had sold it within six weeks. Phil was brilliant at ensuring we felt comfortable, negotiating very reasonable fees and delivering an excellent to market strategy, as well as ensuring that all covid regulations for viewings to ensure that viewers, Oakwood staff and we were kept safe were implemented properly. GoogleThe team at Oakwood were simply amazing. Never too pushy, entirely transparent and honest with us through out the sale of our house. What started out like a straightforward transaction became a little bit of a nightmare due to unforeseen circumstances. However, despite the minor setbacks and one huge curve ball at the end, Jay pulled out all the stops and absolutely delivered! Consequently we managed to complete and move into our lovely new home just last week! A huge ‘thank you’ to Jay and the team. GoogleI would highly recommend Oakwood Estate Agents. After a bad experience with another estate agent Oakwood was a breath of fresh air. Jay and Lewis were excellent - honest and professional agents. They worked hard for us, always stayed in touch, were always punctual and responsive. They arranged many visits and quickly found buyers for our flat doing all they could to make the sale a stress free experience.

GoogleWe used this company for buying a few years ago, dreadful experience with the gentleman we spoke with on numerous occasions, very rude and unprofessional towards our conveyancing solicitor, he should of kept his personal feelings out of it, and kept it strictly professional, we did not need to hear about his back history of grief and vitriol towards her, just because she is competent, careful, and above board. Unlike this man's slap dash, patronising, pompous, and rude attitude, with very pushy underhand ways, pretending he was all of a sudden our best pal of a life time with his phoney demeanour. We did not wish to proceed with our purchase due to damp and mould issues in the property, and it was a pleasure to not speak with the gentleman from Oakwood Estate Agents again. I would never use them again, I much preferred our local 'Focus' estate agent branch, who I can't praise enough.
We believe this review was intended for another Oakwood.. possibly a namesake in Slough? (we are in Stoke Newington) Midnight Forest - very happy to discuss in more detail..but you mentioned an agency Focus who are not local to us (there is one in Slough, and your other reviews seem to indicate this as the area you're in? The is an Oakwood Estate in West Drayton (covering Slugh) - would appreciate it if you could remove this review from our page please? thanks, Phil

GoogleI’ve bought, rented and sold a property via Oakwood Estates and so I would say that I have a pretty thorough view of them and their services. Oakwood may be relatively small but don’t be fooled. No one knows Stokey (and the surrounding areas) better than them. They a thorough, professional, competitively priced given the level of service they provide, but most importantly they are proactive. I had a pretty smooth sale but the small bumps I did experience were dealt with quickly and I had no doubt that they were working hard to ensure both I and the prospective buyer’s interests were served. A special shout out to Jay who’s a total professional and really knows his stuff. Since we first moved in the area and rented the flat via oakwood the staff worked there so helpful and anything happened to the flat once you have had made a call to them and will resolved within a mins ! And now we have just bought our flat in the area and guess what it’s also from oakwood ! I can’t thank the team enough at oakwood ! They were there for you anything you need and made my purchases very quick! Big thanks to Andy Jay and Dan !

GoogleWe have been renting a property in Stoke Newington this year let and managed through Oakwood. Andrew and Clare were great from the very start when we chose to let the property using a fair and transparent system whereby if you agree to meet the asking price, they will take the property off the market. In managing the flat, Oakwood were prompt with a couple of issues that we had, ensuring that the leak under the sink and broken back door were fixed on the same day. Recommend renting from them!

GoogleI now have had the experience of buying and selling with Oakwood and on both occasions we've received a flawless service from everyone involved. The approach at Oakwood is very different to some of the more typically aggressive estate agents out there without any compromise on performance or results (especially given the current climate). In particular Andy has been a massive calming and supportive influence in an otherwise stressful situation and gave us clear and professional guidance on not only our sale but how to approach our purchase (not with Oakwood) which we really benefitted from as well. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them, our only concern is that as we are moving out of N16 we won't be able to use them again!
