GoogleJust completed on the sale of a three bed in the Stoke Newington area through Oakwood. We've really appreciated the good work of Jay and the team, especially as it has contrasted so much with our experience of our (non) purchase through Purple Bricks. Oakwood have been proactive, communicative and worked extremely hard on behalf of all parties to get the sale over the line. There is a lot to be said for using a traditional estate agent, and our experience has definitely proved that. Thank you!

Really enjoyed my interactions with Jay and the crew. Thanks for everything, Oakwood! I have been renting a flat out with Oakwood’s for over 16 years now. It’s never been empty! My current tenants have just signed for a 4th year and I’m thrilled. Great service from Clare, but all the team are lovely, knowledgeable and happy to answer queries. Fabulous.

GoogleI don't think anyone can describe selling a home as the most relaxing of experiences, but if you're going to do it in Stoke Newington I would strongly recommend doing it through Oakwood. Jay Niyazi and his team were a pleasure to deal with, from the beginning of the process right through to completion. Jay is friendly, efficient, unflappable and extremely good at his job. He knows the local market inside out. He's also a lovely bloke. Top marks for top notch service!

GoogleI can't recommend Oakwood (Stoke Newington) highly enough as letting agents. I've rented out a property with them for over a decade and they're so much nicer to deal with than other agents. Clare is brilliant at her job, knows the local market really well and sorts any maintenance issues quickly. I always feel that the property is in safe hands and very well looked after, and that tenants are valued too. Thank you Oakwood for the consistently excellent and professional long-term service!

GoogleOakwood were upbeat and positive from the start, definitely going the extra mile to achieve the sale. We always got helpful feedback about viewings. But the standout feature was their utter commitment to drive the sale post-offer. Jay was on it with solicitors, agents, other parties in the chain. He was always findings solutions to the many bumps along the way, and I do believe it would have fallen apart but for his experience and energy. He certainly went above and beyond the norm, and the fee was really well earned. Highly recommended!

GoogleOakwood were great in my recent purchase and then stepped in and saved the day on my sale when my buyer with another agent pulled out. After a while on the market with other agent, Oakwood picked up the sale and got a higher offer in just 2 weeks ensuring i didnt lose out on my purchase. I was very grateful for the effort and support and the strong communication, would and have recommend to any seller. So delighted to have a completed sale and purchase with the same agent. GoogleOakwood Estate Agents has let my property for the last 10 years, whilst I was lucky with the tenants over that period. I had the inevitable maintenance issues that occur. The staff at Oakwood and particularly Clare Farrugia were extremely helpful in finding with contactors, getting quotes and overseeing work. In my case this was particularly beneficial since I moved to the US in 2008. In addition, when I finely decided to sell the property Claire and her team, helped me remove the furniture and organize painters and builders to prepare the property for sale. Without Clare going above and beyond I would not have been able to do this from the US. Thanks to all the team and especially Clare for your help.

GoogleI bought my flat through Oakwood in 2011, rented it out through them for years after moving, and sold the flat through them in 2024. There’s a pocket of Stamford Hill where only Oakwood gets listings, and they get sales and tenants too. Very friendly people and the property management service is very good. No hesitations in recommending them to others looking to buy, sell or rent in the area!

They always put us first as tenants. If you want an estate agents that don't need to charm you with bs and false promises then these are the ones. GoogleI have just sold my 2 bed flat (Allen Road N16) through Oakwood Estate Agents in Church Street N16. I bought the flat through them about 7 years ago and found Oakwood really good to deal with so I decided to sell through them this time. The team at Church Street were really great to deal with and in particular sales directorJay Niyazi. I have popped in virtually every few months over the last few years trying to decide whether to sell or not and Jay has always been patient and willing to chat about the market and what's going on. I finally decided to sell asap after Covid lockdown was eased a few months ago Jay and the team managed everything brilliantly: - about 32 viewing booked in first day on market - sold for full asking after 15 or so viewings in first few days - sale handled really well and issues dealt with quickly I have sold about 7 properties over the last 25 years in London, Wales and Devon and Oakwoods have been really outstanding. GoogleWe'd been trying to sell our flat for some time and hadn't had much success with another local estate agent, so we put it on with Oakwood. We struggled still to get viewings/offers on the flat (a largeish one bed in the middle of Stoke Newington) and Jay suggested we cut the price further. We then found a buyer and agreed a sale. Fast forward 3-4 months and unfortunately we then lost our buyer because they lost their buyer (ie chain issues....). Jay and Daniel put the flat back on the market quickly and we immediately had two offers, one of which was a cash buyer who we went with in the end. Both Jay and Daniel were very helpful and responsive in steering us through some extremely nervous moments. Ideally everything would have taken far less time than it did - and we felt in the early days there were perhaps more that could have been done to promote the flat - but we got there in the end and because of the speed of the eventual sale managed to hold onto our own onward purchase.PositiveResponsiveness, Professionalism

GoogleClare, Andy and the team at Oakwood have been managing the rental of my flat in Stokey for the past 6 years and I couldn't be happier. We've had a couple of changes in tenants, and Oakwood have always found great candidates, who not only enjoy living in the flat, but also take good care of it. Letting out a property while living abroad can be tricky, but with Clare and the team, I know the tenants are in good hands and everything is taken care of.
