Laura and her team in the Chiswick Rental offices went the extra mile in advising us on every aspect of finding a new tenant for our property including help with plumbers, decorators and removals and most importantly in finding us a good selection of prospective new tenants to choose from. A very hands on operation with excellent customer service and support.

I'd like to thank the whole team at John D Wood in South Kensington and in particular Umar and Angelo for introducing a buyer and working together with all parties (solicitors, managing agents, freeholders, buyer and vendor) in a friendly, personalised and dedicated way from start to finish. Although the whole process - from offer and sales memorandum till exchange of contracts and completion of the sale at the agreed price - took approximately 12 weeks, Umar and Angelo have always kept me informed of every single step towards achieving a successful sale. It was often just a text or quick phone call - even on a Sunday - which kept me motivated throughout the process. I believe that with John D Wood I have been in very good hands and would therefore highly recommend them.

We have recently had to move during COVID. It was incredibly stressful and made worse when we found ourselves unable to access our deposit back through no fault of our own. At first I was not happy with the responses I was getting until Rupert Simmonds stepped in. He went above and beyond to cut through red tape and help us to get our deposit back in full. Rupert is a credit to John D Wood!

Really bad when it comes to services. My deposit is stuck with them for more than 2 months. Always some lame excuse for not paying back. There is an property manager named Moesha, who will never address any query but will just be harsh I hope to give below 1 star but that the least i can go.

Claire has been excellent in helping us find a rental properly from abroad. She was super flexible with our requirements and timing and always kept us in the loop once we found the property. She did an extra video viewing and asked many questions to current tenants on our behalf. I would highly recommend Claire and her team and if were to rent again would definitely use them!

I have a property which is fully managed by JohnDWoods , they couldn't renew my contract due to sick leave of their employee , they cant solve my problem I have to reach to tenant by myself and trying to solve the issues , 20 days pasts the contract end date .

Lettings agent, Anntonia Redding was helpful, supportive and highly professional in every was that could be expected by a lettings customer: intelligent, polite, very well-mannered, thorough, knowledgable and empathetic. She is very respectful of her organization while still being very understanding and supportive of her customer. That is a very fine tuned place from where to conduct business. This company make an appearance of disorganization, but could not possible stay in business, if they were, indeed, as disorganized as they appear. Having managed to fend me off for three days whilst I was house-hunting in France; I finally found that the gem of a house I had found - in Perpignan - was taken off the market; in order that it could be purchased by a relative of one of the partners/directors of John D Wood. Worse than inefficient and unprofessional ... very close to fraudulent! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!

GoogleHouse-hunting in Central London is not exactly a spa break, to say the least. After months of dealing with several agents, and growing increasingly disheartened, it was positively a relief to land at John D Wood in Battersea. Antonia was absolutely outstanding from the off, in every respect, and a genuine pleasure to deal with as a person. She was incredibly attentive and intuitive to what I was looking for from a property, however specific, and from that point, only suggested properties that truly fit the bill. This alone is a stand-out trait; Antonia singles herself out from the swathes of time-wasting agents who suggest irrelevant properties and telephone incessantly. Unlike my experiences with other agencies, I never once felt pressured, or part of a sales target, and this is entirely owing to Antonia's very human approach to the task. She was even so kind as to let me see a property before she listed it - partly out of confidence that I would love it (which I instantly did), and in sensitivity to my personal circumstances. The deal was signed and sealed that afternoon - swift, painless, and incredibly efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend her, or John D Wood, as a first port of call to anyone house-hunting in London.

I rented a property which was managed by this company. The agents made promises they did not meet and the management agents are extremely poor. There was a flood and the information provided by the company turned out to be in accurate so they have refused to reimburse me for the hotel and all costs. I have had to instruct my lawyers to start a court process.

GoogleFrankie Dickens from John D Wood was an absolute god sent when finding my (perfect) place. I fell inlove with the place and had to have it, my partner who was moving in with me dropped out less than a week before I had to put the deposit down. Frankie was so patient and kind when I was screaming and unsure what to do. She helped me out of hours and I found the two perfect roomates - (a day before). So lovely, kind and cool. Frankie made my first rental a real dream. Highly recommended !

GoogleWe viewed a property through John D Wood & Co. Lettings in battersea and we where given excellent advice on how to secure the property which was exactly what we where looking for. Our offer was quickly accepted thanks to the hard work of the staff at the branch and we where moved in within a couple of days of putting down an offer, even though we had to change the terms of the agreement within these two days. I would highly recommend this branch to anyone looking to rent in the area Thanks Emma Sudgen

GoogleSo basically the new strategy that lettings agents advise and probably convince landlord to go by is: 1. List the propriety for a lower price to generate interest 2. Tell people that make offers that someone has already offered the asking price so that they can start a bidding war and drive the price up 3. Play new tenants into paying more for the actual propriety. Very nice. If you hear them saying that someone has already offered the asking price know that they were never looking to accept the asking price and just make you take part in their bidding war which means they are a very sleazy agency and you definitely don't want to be conned by them! Be smart. I hope this review helps some people realize what has become of the lettings market. Shame on you letting agents.

GoogleJohn D Wood in Battersea has looked after my property for a number of years, firstly letting my property and most recently selling it for me. In particular, Sophie Deedes who oversaw the sale was fantastic; professional, patient and proactive and I always felt that my best interests were being looked after. The same can be said of Alex Oppenheim who spoke to me several times about the sales market over the years and Anntonia Redding the lettings manager who let the flat for me for several years before I sold it. Highly recommend this team!
